TIP: Workstation Monitor Setups
Having an indicator count with unread text messages shouldn't be a problem. Our biggest challenge currently is finding a good place in the UI for it. :| If you're on a higher resolution screen, it looks like there's plenty of room, but for our customers on older displays, things get tight. You mean...

If the customer messages us, but doesn't have a current repair order. Say to schedule an appointment - will it show up somewhere?

Re: Getting Started With MessageCenter Texting
The assignment of your texting phone number is all handled in the application. It will begin by trying to assign a phone number based on the area code in your Shop Setup Information. When I tried to request a texting phone# it said my account does not support texting, I'm thinking I need to call in?

Re: Getting Started With MessageCenter Texting
We signed the contract today for the text option. Was told it takes 24 hours for it to go in effect. We'd receive an email when it's active. Hopefully we'll have it first thing Monday. Its $29 a month and you have to sign a 12 month commitment. Did you just click the request texting phone number on...

Re: Mileage For Trailers?
We haven't run into anything that doesn't have mileage, yet. We'll likely formulate a strategy as we want the enforcement. Maybe a 1 for the first visit and 2, 3 for any subsequent visits. I'd rather do that than have a bunch of missing or inaccurate mileages. Good idea - I think we can implement t...

Re: Mileage For Trailers?
The service writer just had a car that he was throwing wiper blades on & didn't want to have to put the miles in - so we are out of luck for that too? We used to be able to bypass it.

Mileage For Trailers?
We work on trailers as well as vehicles. Just tried to print out a slip with the 7.5 version & we were unable to do zero miles. Without totally shutting off the mileage requirements - is there a way around it? If you try to continue to print when the pop up comes up - it won't continue.

Re: Manager SE v7.5 Spy Shots
KUDOS to the programmers!! LOVE the extra space in the note field! Being able to finally put the cell phone field first is going to be a very welcome feature. And everyone is very happy about it keeping the parts vendors when transferring to the order! Do we have to wait until next week to find out ...

Re: Inventory prices changing user entered prices
Are you checking off User Entered Price on the inventory part in the work order, or in the inventory list? If you're changing it on the work order it won't persist through other orders, but if you change it in inventory, it will keep that pricing every time you add that part onto a new RO. It is wh...

Re: Adding Vehicle Tab Information
Is it possible to make a bigger difference in the shading when the vin has been decoded or if it has not been decoded? We are still getting caught with thinking a vehicle has been decoded but has not & then the right information is not being passed over to the parts stores. You won't have the proble...

Re: Since 7.3.10 update
No problem.....wouldn't it be nice if Windows would leave the settings alone when updating?? It's getting annoying spending three hours looking for solutions every time they roll our an "update"....more like break the software....Silky7 wrote:Thanks for sharing, Becky!
