Re: Part Number Handling
This is also an issue when scanning a barcode (alternate part#) not pulling the correct-current information from shopkey with updated pricing and costs. Very strange that the part # in inventory can be listed on the work order with all the wrong pricing strategies attached. The red item is the scann...

Re: Alternate Part Number pulls up wrong pricing
This turns to be a potential BOLT ON issue, as scanning the items barcode (alternate number) using the tech tablet it is pulling old data and not current data for pricing as well not giving the customer discount and using average cost vs. actual cost as a reference. If we manually enter in the barco...

Re: Parts Cost vs. Sale report
I am simply trying to look on a weekly basis what the end part sales are profit wise for cost vs. sales and keep ahead of inflating prices as some of our parts are not on the matrix and have set prices. I just had realized that the cost over the week on a few items was incorrect (so i dig further) a...

Re: Parts Cost vs. Sale report
It is set to last cost, so my system will update pricing accordingly. Iits just in the reports that shows the averages and not actual costs which throws off my numbers for the week, at first I couldn't figure out why the percentages were so different until I realized it was averages being calculated.

Alternate Part Number pulls up wrong pricing
I have entered in the Barcode for our oil drain plugs and gaskets so the tech can scan the barcode and add the gasket to the invoice when used. Now with all the price changes those gaskets and plugs are coming up as the initial pricing and not the adjusted inventory pricing. example part number in i...

Parts Cost vs. Sale report
I have been using the Part Sales by Vendor report for some time and would really like to see what the last cost vs. last sale amounts with percentage of profit instead of averaging cost and sales, with the constant price increases and variables lately the report has become inaccurate since it is ave...

Re: Failed to open Order
Update, tech support was a great help although difficult to get through to, phone lines are still glitched since the cyber attack. Shut down all the work stations, backed up the database again, rebooted and installed another soft update, still had work order lock out, then tech performed a database ...

Failed to open Order
Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints. This message pops up when attempting to open a customer work order, what had happened was a workstation as well as the main frame were updating customer information at the same time....

Re: Inventory parts showing stock when sold
I've now played with this a bit, since we were not printing the RO on approval and using the tablet to message our techs with the revised work order this was not committing parts, even when converted from a revision (new request) I will monitor the invoice conversion in the same manor, since we do s...

Inventory parts showing stock when sold
When we are invoicing orders and waiting to post work order until payment our parts still show in inventory.(some invoices can sit for days or weeks depending on the situation) It would be great that once converted to invoice these parts are pulled from inventory since they are committed on that inv...

Re: Password Used Report
currently anyone can be anyone at anytime in the system. True, but if their password is not endorsed to access technician setup, delete payments, delete orders, etc. they still cannot execute those functions. We are preventing this, we just can't account for who tried. As it is, User profiles are m...

Re: Password Used Report
Makes sense Tim, thanks for explaining the strategy. The program was built on a system without a lot of security features and I can see that. As our shop has grown and continues to grow I look to the future of having employees hired by other managers and therefore our strategy is ever changing. Hold...

Re: Password Used Report
Thanks Ric and megoff for the input, i thought the situation was what it is, hopefully sometime in the future this will be available however I know how slow the progress of this system is to get with requests.

Password Used Report
Is there a report that shows which password was used to post/close an order, this would help determine accountability if it was done incorrectly and aid in resolving a conflict of who closed the work order vs. a can't remember from 30 days ago.

Pricing Lock
It would be nice to lock out pricing changes for parts by users, we have our matrix dialed in very well and occasionally a part price can be changed but more then once I have had an employee change the pricing for a "friend" without permission, their demise unfortunately, without the temptation ther...
