Re: Update 8.5.02

Do you have multiple workstations? If so, are they running the same user? (this can be checked by the user at the bottom right of the Management Software) If the users are the same or multiple stations have the same user, close ALL machines running SE, open one station, make the changes for the col...

If you right click the column you wish to hide you are able to "Hide This Column"
Ok. So I click a column to hide it but the next time I go to use the WIP screen, that column is back. Extremely annoying. What do I need to do to permanently hide a chosen column?

Shop parts as Vendor

Is it possible when I look up a part that the inventory in our shop can be seen? Example: I need an oil filter for a 2006 Ford F450 with a diesel. Among the vendor options I can at the same time see if we have it in stock here at the shop?

Re: CREATE SPECIAL ORDER DIRECTLY FROM SCHEDULE

It would be very helpful to be able to right-click on the Schedule and be able to create an SO. Now that I understand the value and flexibility of SO's, I am inclined to agree with this suggestion. Here's the deal, once it was a part of the system, who knows how much others would be attracted to th...

Re: Warranty Repair?

What we do here is to have a separate labor line for warranty labor and that way it can be tracked. We also use it for a comeback job as well.

Re: DISCOUNT COUPON OFF TOTAL INVOICE?

You can create discounts ahead of time with a date range (coupons) or you can create one manually on the fly. Open the order where the discount is going. Click Options>Discount. (should be password protected) Click either dollar amount or percentage. Enter the values for the discount. Click OK. Now...

For the most part, the wear on the tires is pretty much even across the board.

Re: Trailer Tire Wear

With the trailers as long as they are (up to 30') turning is a constant issue. That being said, I can easily understand the short turning could easily be the cause of premature tire wear for us. In theory then, tire rotation should help us, or not? What about going to a tire with more plies?

Trailer Tire Wear

Here is the situation. In our lawncare biz, one of the dozen trailers is a 2009 Mustang 20 foot tandem axle trailer. The trailer bed has 2 ramps with a Gorilla Lift at the rear and 18 inch sides. When going out for the day, it carries 3 ExMark or Walker mowers as well as 3 blowers, 2 push mowers and...

Re: LOF or oil change labor tracking?

We are a fleet shop also doing outside work in south central PA and what we do is this: A typical oil change is 1/2 hr of our shop labor rate. Oil, filters, etc is extra charge. Very seldom an oil change takes longer than 1/2 hour. That applies to everything except medium duty trucks and up, includi...

Setting Up The Time Clock

Sorry to reveal my ignorance but I am trying to get the time clock and scheduler set up and running. So, how do I get this accomplished? It seems that it should be fairly simple but for what ever reason I am missing something even though I have downloaded the Time Managers User Guide and read it.

Go To Vehicle Quickly

Let's say that I am at the WIP screen and I want to bring up a vehicle that is not there, how can I go to a specific vehicle in customer database without going through customer lookup? Sorry, I am accustomed to another accounting system that I can see the entire customer/vehicle report in 1 screen. ...

Inventory Limit

Is there any limit to how many inventory items I can have on this management system? I do notice that if I bring up my inventory list, it has a space for inventory limit and it says 1000.
