This is a useful field on the tech sheet. Worked fine in 6x has been broken since 7.0 ETA on a fix?

Re: Scheduler gripes (yet again)

Bruce, Sounds like the Mitchell guy created the appointment first, then made an Estimate second? That may be why you had 2 appointments? Not sure, but that workflow sounds like a lot of extra steps. Here every appointment gets an Estimate. With an Estimate I can best determine time loading; that's ...

Re: Scheduler gripes (yet again)

Schedule 2.jpg Schedule 1.jpg Manager won't schedule from a Revision. The intended workflow is a revision once sold is transferred to an RO, with the work sold, and appointment is then created. From my testing the Promised time and Start time are correct if you create an appointment for an open ord...

Re: Scheduler gripes (yet again)

Bruce, I'll have one of our technicians that specializes in assisting with the new Schedule setup and training reach out to you. He called and it ended up being very frustrating and him saying his supervisor asked him to terminate the call. First off I know I can be stubborn and somewhat difficult ...

Scheduler gripes (yet again)

Coming from the scheduler from version 6x and before (I have been using it since 1995!) I am quite disappointed with the new 'improved' schedule. I was forced into this upgrade as version previous to 7 are no longer supported yet I was still paying my monthly fees... but I am rambling.. First compla...

Re: FAXing from History and Revisions

Fax button still not working - when will this be resolved/updated to email? BTW I actually still have several customers that request FAX over e-mail.... apparently they don't want to risk getting spammed?? Currently running Version 6.6.1, been broken now for at least 5 updates.

Re: Trouble Using 1Search

Personally I find 1search a waste of time. Rarely do I find the answer I am looking for, whether it be an R&R procedure, or a code definition. I have far better luck with a keyword search in 'Vehicle reference' I realize 1Search is a work in process, but since it still seems to be in beta form, mayb...

1997 Volvo 850 GLT Decode Problem

This car has a 2.4liter 2.4 turbo Engine code 56, mitchell decodes it to be a non turbo VIN 55, which is incorrect. In fact Mitchell does not even show an option for a 2.4 turbo, VIN 56 for any option. It only shows 2.4 non turbo VIN 55, or 2.3 VIN 53 (high pressure turbo) This causes a problem with...

Non-Standard Labor Rate Items Print Wrong Amount

I have several canned items I use with non standard labor rates. Items like tire balancing - I put in the amount and Mitchell figures the time based on the amount. Sometimes I have items that I have to set aside time for - such as diagnostics - where I set aside a half an hour time, I zero out the c...

Re: What Needs To be Fixed In ProDemand

I find 1 search to be pretty much useless. I understand that some shops need it, but it makes finding information even that much more frustrating. Enter a code and you get testing procedures, without a description of the code in the beginning - that is just one example. I can document more if needed...

Re: XCharge Not Printing 2 Copies?

Thanks John,

I called tech support and they updated my updater to v1.0.0.4 and they suggested that would help. I will wait for the update tomorrow.

Thanks again.

Re: XCharge Not Printing 2 Copies?

When is this update due to arrive? I have been told since July the update is rolling out, it's now mid November and I am still on 6.5.37.8. This bug is continuing to haunt us.

Re: FAXing from History and Revisions

There is no other way to email a specific history record. Selecting file, email, will email the entire history, not the specific record.. I have been doing this for years with Manager 4.xx, and 5.xx without issue. Go to the history screen, double click on a posted invoice, then click on file , emai...

Re: FAXing from History and Revisions

I see in your first post that you are using the Fax button to email through PDF. So essentially you are emailing, yes? ... I wouldn't be surprised if they plan on removing that button altogether. We use a pdf generator as our fax printer so we can email paid invoices, or multiple revisions in one e...

Re: FAXing from History and Revisions not working

This bug has apparently been around in 6.4-6.5 for some time now. I am hoping that this fax button problem can finally be put to rest. When I try to FAX a revision, it prints to the invoice printer assignment, when I try to FAX a single history record, it.. you guessed it, it prints to the invoice p...

Re: FAXing from History and Revisions

I'm using 6.5.37 and the fax button works correctly and corresponds to what I have selected in the >>File>>Print Setup under the Fax option. If you have ProPack you can do all everything you want in there too, By clicking file>>print from the history screen, the entire history record is queued to t...

Re: FAXing from History and Revisions

I cannot provide a date at this time. Development works through a prioritized list of issues to create solutions to be delivered on future updates. Because we have the shorter time frames with the Updater, once coded and tested it will make it to the field sooner than it would have previously, just...
