Re: Database Backup Destination Doesn't Hold
Hi everyone, I just saw this thread and I have been having the EXACT same problem Ric is. Randomly the drive letter assignment in the Mitchell program will change to one used previously. I thought it must be a bug but have just been putting up with it. Problem is, you don't find out it changed until...

Re: 1Search Default
I would like to update this message board, that our shop did receive a call from someone at Mitchell 1 who gave us an overview of the way the system is designed to work. When our technicians understood how the tabs view works when you search a component it made a lot more sense. So maybe part of thi...

Re: 1Search Default
Mitchell, are you listening? We have subscriptions to both Identifix and Alldata, as well as ShopkeyPro. Why has the industry "flagship" become the most difficult to find information in? The idea that a technician needs a google-like interface instead of category menus to find information does not m...

Re: 1Search Default
Our techs are unhappy with the new 1search function. In many ways they felt they could find information better in the original Shopkey5.com

Re: XCharge Not Printing 2 Copies?
I have the same problem. Frustrating. X-Charge shows two copies selected to print, only one does.

Re: X-Charge Credit Card Processing?
Have been using X-charge since the original beta testing. How does it work? Flawless. Integration is perfect. No rate increases. In fact our processing cost is as low or lower than ever... Deposits are on time, statements make sense. If they could fix one thing I would be supremely happy with our ca...

Re: blue line in part order
I believe it means alternate part options exist. Try highlighting the blue line and the greyed out "Select Alternate Parts" button should come alive. Click it and you will see what other options the store has (other brand, grade of part, etc.

Have you checked the M1Files webpage for SE catalog installers? Not all catalogs are on the install disc but I think you will find what you need here http://m1faqs.com/fix/SE/catalogs/

Re: Who Recommended + Service Writer
A technique I have begun to use: When entering the Recommendation in the vehicle tab:
Transmission Fluid Flush - SM
Air/Fuel Induction System Cleaning - SM
Use the tech initials and there's no argument later over who the work goes to.

Re: 2005 Ford F250/6.0L Hot Start
I would look for oil pressure leaking off in the high pressure oil system. We had one of these early 6.0L's with a very similar concern. We dissassembled the engine to the point of the injection oil supply branch tube (which is also a common issue, and for which there is an updated kit...) we isolat...

Re: 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan - Running Very Rich
We've had several of these lately with bad oxygen sensors causing a similar issue. If it's a flex-fuel engine a failing oxygen sensor can affect the computer's calculated value of ethanol in the fuel and skew fuel trims badly. You might try a new oxygen sensor (I recommend OEM or Denso ONLY on this ...

Re: Manager SE - Credit Card Processing Announcement
One more update, having completed a month and about $23,000 of credit and debit transactions. (for anyone else who is considering jumping in) No problems, continues to work as intended. Also, we received our first statement from X-Charge and the rates were as agreed upon, basically they matched or w...

Re: Manager SE - Credit Card Processing Announcement
Hello Forum Users; I thought some might be curious as to how the credit card processing is working out. We are one of the beta shops. So far the customer service from X-Charge has been good and the installation support was excellent. We installed card readers and pin pads on two front counter workst...
