Re: 2009 Chev 1/2 ton 8-5.3L - No Oil PSI

Well, we have had some experience with these engines. Oil Pressure being one of them. Often, the only cure is another engine, Jasper being one of the top choices. Fixing it yourself could be an option but not one that I would recommend. If I'm not mistaken, GM did issue some TSB's addressing the iss...

Re: 2007 Lincoln MKX P0115

Well fellows, that explains why I couldn't find any info. Let me see what I can do with this now. I guess, I'm getting too old for this stuff. Been doing it since 1968. Soon time to hang it up. This technology is wearing me down. Will post what I come up with.

Thanks to you two!!

2007 Lincoln MKX P115e

I have this 2007 Lincoln MKX with a VIN of: 2LMDU88C57BJ35633 and 96,000 miles on it. The issue is that intermittently it will have a high idle if 1400rpm. It also has a DTC of P115E that I cannot erase. Both Mitchell and Identifix do not provide any info on this code. Has anyone seen this before? I...

Re: Resistor Amperage Draw Values

Ok. Understand what's being said. So, if I replace both the motor and resistor, the amp draw is 16 amps on a 25 amp fused circuit, I should be fine. The issues I seem to be having is that we go through so many resistors even with supposedly acceptable amp draw. The high speed part of the resistor gi...

Re: Resistor Amperage Draw Values

Yea, I can understand that there is not a 1 size fits all chart, I was hoping that someone somewhere knows where I can find these values. The dealer in most cases doesnt even have values they can give. Says they dont check amperage draw. One dealer tech told me that I was making diagnosis too compli...

Re: 2002 GMC Sonoma 4.3 V-6 Codes

Well, Im looking at the diagnosis and work performed thus far. Are we sure that the injectors are being pulsed? It is possible that the PCM is not commanding injector pulse for a variety of reasons. Could be an input sensor (MAF, TPS, ECT, or even an OS) not reading correctly or even dead and not se...

Re: 1997 Dodge 1500 8-5.2L - Communication Loss

I have run into several ignition switches (Chrysler) through the years that did this. I think I am safe in saying that in every case, replacing the ignition switch solved the problem. Back some years ago, Chrysler had a recall on ignition switches but Im forgetting what years and or models it involv...

Resistor Amperage Draw Values

I am looking for a table of what the amperage draw should be for blower motor on various speeds. I have not found this in MOD or in OEM Service Information. Surely somewhere in this industry there is values that can be gotten, but where?

Re: Repairlink Not Working Properly

Here I go again, I need to look up parts for an 2004 Ford E350 Super Duty with a 6.0L diesel. I enter the VIN and it says "INVALID VIN". I recheck and reenter the VIN only to discover that Repair Link does not cover the 04 E series vehicles. What a dinger! Who do I need to touch base with to get old...

Hi Tim - Thanks for the feedback. The issue should now be fixed, please try again and let me know if you're still having this issue. - Steve Now, when I go to place an order at a dealer I have set up an account with, I can place the part in the cart, I can view the cart and I can order the cart, ho...

Thanks Tim. We would use Repair Link more than we do if it was working better but as it is, sorry pal but it is downright frustrating. If I had to pay for the Repair Link service, I would have cancelled it by now.

Re: Repairlink Not Working Properly

Now, when I go to place an order at a dealer I have set up an account with, I can place the part in the cart, I can view the cart and I can order the cart, however, I cannot return to the catalogue after I have a part in the cart. In addition to all the other issues with Repair Link, this takes frus...

As a shop owner that uses these inspections, I am liking the idea that Ric is proposing. Could keep my SA doing the things more important than checking the all green vehicles. Hopefully it can be implemented in the near future.

Didn't get to the root of it yet. Backed it out so we could take a Duramax engine apart that had a bolt or nut go through the cylinder head and caused a misfire. Damaged head and piston.

Re: 2003 Dodge R2500 Transmission Problem

Ok, here is another update. I began by checking several things. With speedo wires disconnected from the output speed sensor, and the harness disconnected from the PCM, I ohms checked both wires for any continuity between them as well as checking for short to ground. Both are good. Speed sensor is ne...

Me too. I when we began doing digital inspections where to put the mileage. I haven't found it so yes, I would favor that addition as well.

So far, I just add it as a note.

This is getting old. All these price increase and "upgrades". My manager program is crashing. Repairlink STILL doesn't work. No ones seems to care. Ok, here is an update on this. With the engine idling and the transmission in any position including park, the speedometer rockets wildly all over its swing from 0-120mph. 2003 Dodge R2500 Transmission Problem

This Dodge Truck, a 2003 R2500 with a 5.9L diesel, 4wd, and automatic transmission has an issue. When it rains, the transmission will not come out of first gear. When the roads are dry and the sun is shining, the engine runs fine and the transmission shifts just perfect. Customer reports speedometer...

Re: 2012 Ford Flex Limited pulsation

Without knowing what brand of parts were used in this application, and, if I may, I want to suggest that the economy parts not be used. We have found out that in this vehicle, as well as in a few others, the economy brake rotors do not work well. A higher quality brake rotor must be used here. Also,...
