Re: 2003 Ford Ranger - 3.0L Won't Rev Past 3000
The cam position sensor is working normal, we just tried a new one... not sure yet on engine vaccum issue. I noticed something else, fuel trim and o2 sensor readings are what outta wack. bank 1 averaging towards lean o2 reading, fuel trim in positive between 6-9%. bank 2 however is averaging 0.9v on...

Re: 2006 Nissan Xterra - Steering Difficulty / Noise-FIXED
Ok so we got this fixed. Checked linkages, nothing binding. The bearing in the upper column/control unit were gone entirely, just metal frags left. cust admitting backing into a pole right on the right front tire pretty hard about 2 months ago. checked everything, no apparent other damage to linkage...

Re: '03 ford ranger 3.0l wont rev past 3000
backpressure 0 psi both banks, fuel pressure is 60psi at idle, 50 koeo. As for volume, i cannot say. Noticed engine vaccum less than 15 in/hg at idle. fuel injectors were replaced recently, as was fuel filter.

2003 Ford Ranger - 3.0L Won't Rev Past 3000
Hi. This ranger wont go past 3000 rpm, acts like hitting rev limiter.
Has new plugs, wires. good compression across all cylinders.
Where to start?

Re: 2006 Nissan Xterra - Steering Difficulty / Noise
Im assuming it must be the column. The customer finally brought it back when she had time, the whole steering wheel is loose, but easy to turn once again... upper column?

2006 Nissan Xterra - Steering Difficulty / Noise-FIXED
hello again. This xterra came in with difficulty turning, feels like its in four wheel drive. There is rough feeling in steering wheel/column itself, almost like bad bearings....? not sure where to go.

Re: 1992 Buick LeSabre - Intermittment No Start/Stall
yea im gonna try not to. on the scanner everything read normal when it was running. Before the crank pos sen was changed rpm reading would read normal, until right before it would die. At that time it pulled code 17. If it sat for an hour or neg batt cable removed, or the fuse it would start back up...

Re: 1992 Buick LeSabre - Intermittment No Start/Stall
To start thanks for all the input. The car wont start at all, crankshaft pos. sens replaced 3 days ago, checked the wires for any short or open, or overly high resistance, all ok, even on cam pos sens harness. before we replaced the crank pos sens it would start if i pulled the ecm fuse for a bit. i...

Re: 1992 Buick LeSabre - Intermittment No Start/Stall
Im gonna have to try something, seeing as i dont have a scope. The car does have a lot of corrosion. And i dont like throwing parts either. If it was the ecm would there be other conditions too?

1995 GMC 2500 - Tire Repair = Hydroboost Damage?
Hi. I've recently had a customer come in for a tire repair on this truck. The wheel was taken off, the tire patched and placed back on vehicle. Two weeks later he came back and said that a tech turned the wheel with the engine off, causing the hydroboost unit to be severely damaged. I've never heard...
