Re: 2005 Ford Ranger - 4.0L Cuts Out
ok, we have a ranger that cuts out or stumbles and it has 55k on it. anything else would be an assumption. if you could post any scanner readings while it stumbled as well as engine and power train information would be helpful. depending on the engine you could be experiencing a stumble caused by the egr runner in the intake or even a sluggish fuel pump or egr valve opening to soon. i'm pretty busy today fixing plow trucks and suspension issues on suv's. you know the ones that pass you going 50 during a snow storm only to discover that it can go fast in the snow but can't stop any better than anything else. bt if you give me a call i'll be more than happy to help you out. sometimes i find if someone asks the questions it's much easier than trying to supply all the necessary information. good luck.

depending on location there may have been either condensation in tank or ice. cleaner would have removed a small amount of contamination. i would follow up with a usable dry gas. thanks for keeping us updated.
