2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Dash/Headlights Flash & Chime

DASH AND HEADLIGHTS FLASH AND CHIMES. COME RIGHT BACK ON.

THIS IS INTERMITTENT ABOUT 3 TIMES A WEEK AND SO FAR HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO MIMIC SYMPTOMS IN SHOP. DON'T WANT TO START REPLACING PARTS. NO CODES IN COMPUTER.

ANYONE RAN ACROSS THIS BEFORE?

No codes in 'which' computer? The front control module runs the lights on this. There's also a CAN-BUS to the cluster. Have you checked the cluster and FCM for codes? Also, the LH multifunction switch talks to the Steering Wheel Control module which in turn communicates via CAN to the cluster and the FCM. I'd also check the SWCM; lots of failures there. No wiper malfunctions, are there?

As Paul Harvey would say....and now the rest of the story!!!!! Customer informed us she left the sunroof open one day when it rained. Discovered lights act up only when heated seat is on.........she decided to just drive it with a cold rump.......LOL...thought you all needed a laugh for the day....Holly

LOL. If it were mine I'd still want to find out why. This problem could be just tip of the problem iceberg. More to follow if left untreated. :roll:
