2003 Dodge Sprinter 2500 - P2506 Code

Post by GEEPINCJ7 »

I have an 03 Dodge sprinter 2500 van with a code of p2506 ecm power input. There is no explantion of this code in the Mitchell program. This van comes from the car lot we are attached to. Normally I would not take something like this in because we just do not have the equipment for this van. The van runs and starts normally but has the light on. Any help with this code would be appreciated.

Check Battery condition/ connections. I think this is just a low voltage code ( dead/ low battery etc.) Like you would expect if someone drove it with bad alternator.
There is always enough time to do it right the first time.

Could this be P2306? What kind of scanner are you using? Can you scan it with something else to verify?

I believe that error code merely indicates that power to the ECM was too low. Was the battery dead, or had it been dead? Like Mike was getting at above, try a full charging system/battery test and see if you come up with anything. By the way, will the code clear?
