I love Mitchell/PO setting

So a short story made into a Steve story.

Just ordered some "stuff". Cut off time is 9 to get parts by 11. I missed it. But I wondered what I had ordered that the store had in stock and what will be here at 3. I opened the PO knowing I wouldn't be able to tell without calling the store. But to my surprise I moved the slide bar to the right and there it was! Just what I needed to know. But the best part.....

I was able to re-arrange the columns! So now I moved some not-so-needed info to the right and now have the "Location" right where I can see it.

Not so sure that this hasn't been an option since 6.0, but i found it today.

Thank you to all the peeps at M1 that do what they can to make this program the Ferrari of Management systems.

That is kind of neat huh? Was upgraded maybe around the time we added ATD catalog as we had to touch a lot of screens at that time to add Size field, etc.

Tops my day, even after brake checking a jack donkey in the construction area this morning and watching him blast an orange barrel and it flipping over the roof of his car!

That only works when the store is set up correctly. I've been trying for years to get my primary supplier to fix theirs. The order result is always none on hand and call store, whether they have it or not. Sigh.

Is that while ordering on on the PO?

Yes. They have some setting wrong. It shows live whether they have the part or not, but after I click on order it shows they have nothing. It's been years and I've given up trying with those guys. Most of my other 15 or so electronic vendors have it set up right. Just my luck the place I buy the most from doesn't.

Hmmmm, Just ordered a part from NAPA, that PO doesn't even have "location" as a heading option. But it does show "vendor Qty"

But our #1 supplier works, so thats a good thing.

I just called that supplier and reopened this issue. I'm jealous that Rich's works and mine doesn't.

Neat. So it appears that this vendor has coded their locations with delivery times. Great idea. That really helps the purchaser. For me, that column is populated correctly on a price check. I can see where the part is. My problem occurs when I hit Order. All the columns change to Call Store and I lose all that valuable data.. It's a super-awesome feature of the PO system to have that column.

This is NAPA, next Car Quest order I will look at that PO.
