So far not one of my dealers has signed up. This is a really good idea but it seems most dealers don't see the value in it for them. I have to wonder if they ever will.

It sounds like they are really taking their time opening small areas one at a time.

They are working their way through certain markets. I will try to get some more info as to when and where.

We have been using it for a while. The concept is a good one and as reported having good quality drawings is a great asset. In practice, the software is very slow to move from screen to screen. Since there are no part numbers, it make communicating with the parts people somewhat difficult as they have to look up the part all over again. Also the orders that I place do not go directly to the dealers computer, but rather to the parts managers cell phone. If he is busy the order can sit on his phone for a long time before it gets processed. I am hoping that the bugs will get shaken out as this has the potential of being a very good tool for us.

That must be how they set it up on their end Gary. When I order Ford parts the order goes right to their on line order guy and we get the part the next day.

The system is slooooooow, but I think maybe ( i hope) they are putting out their feelers to see how well it is received. Then I hope they upgrade and make it rock.

My biggest pet peeve is that it won't show pictures if you use FireFox. So i have to have two web browsers open.

I think we won't see part numbers, cuz peeps would use MORE to look the stuff up then go to their supplier and cross ref the number. At least with Ford you can grab the basic number. (I love Ford :D )

What!!!!!?????!!!! No part numbers? What's the point of having it integrated if I can't order and transfer the part information into Manager????!! Someone please tell me this is wrong. You can cross reference part numbers given to you by non-OE suppliers now. That's nothing new. Please tell me this is wrong. I just lost ALL hope for this.

i'm getting more and more e/mails on more applications. i'm having a bit of an issue loading the application for part diagrams and hopefully will eventually succeed. the part number issue caught my eye. if this holds true it a huge waste of time. i use the mitchell oem application for numbers the put them into the cross reference space in my parts look up. really is a plus and was hoping more would make it a step quicker.

I was talking to OEConnection years ago and previewed MORE recently, but I don't remember seeing anything missing so vital as part numbers. You're right Steve, without part numbers it is a waste of time for me. I've lost all enthusiasm for the program unless someone can chime in and testify to the contrary. (Please do)

I believe during lookup it displays Description information; once transferred to shopping cart, Part Number becomes visible:

Phew! That's a relief.

Now does that transfer to Manager like all the other integrated vendors?

Well then, that's what I remember when test driving this. For a minute I thought my advanced age was working against me.

Put me officially back in the 'excited' category for vendors in my area to come online. :D

Sorry to create such a stir! I am using 5.9 and the MORE system does not appear on the list of aftermarket catalog support. Since I can't transfer the parts to the estimate, I can not see the part numbers. I need to purchase a few more new computers before I will meet the requirements to move to 6.#

Tim, That looks great!

Can you show me a complete part number for any Ford parts?

We signed up last week. The rep told me the dealers have to pay, that is why it's taking a while to get them "active". So far, for actives we have a Nissan, Honda and I just got an email this morning we have an Acura, all very close by. Although, the Honda and Acura dealers are not showing our cost, I am going to email our rep about it.

Also, our rep told me last week that it will be compatible with Firefox this week (which it is), and that the plug for the images will no longer be needed. Well, even with the plug in you can't see the images in Firefox, tells you that you have to use IE.

By the way, before I email our rep about the no cost thing, I wanted to double check that maybe it might work in IE, our cost was still not there for the Honda and Acura AND now IE frozen. I HATE IE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, you can search by part number, as well, which is kind of cool.

All you have to do once a dealership becomes "Active" is to send in an order, but tell them to disregard the order and to set up your shops pricing. We now have one Honda, Nissan, Chrysler, and two Acuras.
