US Auto Force Catalog interface & price carry over

Post by rhillig »

This is most likely a Silky question - when transferring over the tires from our US Auto Force interface - only the price of the tire comes over. The price of the fed excise tax does not carry over. Would this be a Mitchell side issue or a US Auto Force issue?

Some of the tires could be up to $5 a piece in excise tax that we are not getting added to the tires.

A fine question, Becky.

The integration on their end could be updated to make this smoother. We introduced a flag specific to tires a few years ago. If/when tires come back from catalogs with that designation, we automatically add the fees specified in the Tire Matrix area. The ATD and Tireweb catalogs are using this capability for example. With that said, we can't support all of our integrators updating to the newer catalog framework all at once either.

If you're ordering certain tires often enough, you might add them to inventory and mark the Tire property to get the fee to apply as well.

The good news is WHI is currently working with us to update the Nexpart integration, so this should become an option in the not-too-distance future.

Thank you! We order many different tires that fall into that category, but not necessarily stocked tires. We try to remember to add the tax, but sometimes forget or don't catch it. Thanks for the update.
