WorldPAC SpeedDIAL Multiple PCs SE 6.4?

Post by amotors »

Tried asking WorldPAC for help... no luck of course. Thought I'd post here.

I've been having some problems setting up SpeedDial with Mitchell Manager SE 6.4 on multiple machines.

My setup: Main computer is a Vista 32 bit with Manager running (with database) and SpeedDial installed. I've been able to setup SpeedDial and Manager to use the catalog.
I now have 2 'workstations' running Windows 7 32bit. I have installed Speeddial on both and Manager (workstation using main computers database). When I go to "Toggle Catalog Availability" on the Windows 7 machines Worldpac is greyed out. Any suggestions on why that is?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Forum

Worldpac is a different set up then the other catalogs. You have to download speedial from their website and run the installation on each workstation before the Worldpac catolog button will become active. Try doing that and I'm sure you will be good to go.

Thanks Paul, but already done. Each workstation has speedial installed locally. I can start speedial on each from its desktop icon and run it no problem. Just can't get to launch it from Manager because the option is greyed out.

Thanks,
Brad

Have you restarted Manager after the Speed Dial install? I believe Manager looks for that program on start-up and then decides to enable the button.

Rats! For some reason Manager is not seeing the Speed Dial program. So it's only the W7 machines, eh? You may have to call Mitchell support. I'm not aware of any issues like this. Anyone else using SE with WP on a W7 machine that is not the host machine?

OK. So we know it CAN work. I'd give Mitchell support a call and see if they can find the issue.
