2002 Chev Trailblazer - Front Diff Labor

We have a 2002 Trailblazer 4.2L with a bad front differential. Shopkey says 8.1 hours. When I look at repair on how to remove it says the rack & oil pan has to be removed. Shopkey gives a time of 9.7 just to R&R the oil pan so things don't add up to me.

This is the style that has the differential shaft that goes through the oil pan. Has anyone done one of these that can give me a little info on what's going on?

Yes I did see that. Thank you.

Even if this tip does work the time given doesn't add up. I'd like to make sure I charge the proper time just in case I do have to remove oil pan.

Here is the response from the Labor group:

The procedures are essentially the same for the Front Differential or the Oil Pan replacement. The Mitchell labor estimating time for Front Differential Assembly - R&R will be adjusted to match the Oil Pan - R&R.
