Please note that when you are creating a Sales Rule for an Other Charge that al exemptions must appear first in the list before any of the "Apply" rules or they will not calculate.

Example:
Sales Rules

• Other Charge: (S) State Sales Tax

Action_______Rule[/u
Apply_________Type = Material Line
Exempt________Type =Service package; Service category = Alignments;

This will not work because the exemption does not show up in the list first. ( See below)

Sales Rules

• Other Charge: ( S ) State Sales Tax

Action________Rule
Exempt_________Type = Service package; Service category = Alignments;
Apply__________Type = Material Line

This will work because the exemption appears first in the list of Sales Rules
