VAN CAME IN AND WANTED BRAKES PUT ON THE FRONT.
NOTICED ABS,BRAKE,TCS LIGHTS ON, SO I RAN A SCAN AND CODES C1246,C1286. SO I CLEARED CODES AND WENT TO TEST DRIVE AND AS SOON AS I STARTED VAN LIGHTS CAME RIGHT BACK ON. CHECKED RELAY FOR ABS AND ITS GOOD, NOT FINDING ANY BROKEN WIRES. THE MOTOR IN REAR IS NOT MOVING. WILL THIS CAUSE THE LIGHTS TO COME ON?
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPREICATED

To answer your question, yes, the rear motor not moving could cause light to come on. If you go to mitchell's diag by code, there is a definitive procedure that should lead you to the problem. Good luck and keep us posted.

Before you go crazy on this you may want to make sure customer really cares if it's on or not. I've seen shops jump into issues like this and after hours of diagnostic labor the customer tells them he knows what it is and doesn't care.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
