Parts not transfering

Post by nickscarcare »

Is there a reason why if we have a customer with a trailer in vehicle so there is no look up, we go to first call, get the seals we need, go to transfer we get an error that says no internet connection, or internal server failure? Or it says an error detected from the catalog. An error occured while transfering cart contents to the main application.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Looking up those seals first by part # or ?

The parts catalog integration relies on using an anticipated vehicle definition (plate, VIN or YMME) to open the catalog.
I can enter 2020 Horse Trailer and click the First Call catalog button. I can select a category or type a description and it always flips back to plate, VIN or YMME to qualify a vehicle instead.

Yes by part number.
May I know what that part # is for testing purposes?

I have done multiple different seal numbers, exhaust gasket numbers, flange numbers. 31886, 31388, it is because I do not have a vehicle in the parameters, because it is a trailer. It works if I have a vehicle in the system for it. We do alot of trailers, walk in exhaust so we dont have a vehicle looked up so that is when it dont let us, but I like it so I can put the number in on first call, transfer so the price carries with, then I can also order online.

Due to built-in software validations, it's going to fail without a known vehicle selected.
One suggestion is to pick an oddball YMM to be code for horse trailers.
First Call parts lookup (entering part #) and transfer was successful using this example:

No it used to work, it does from other look stores, auto value etc. Just not first call. The manager was here he thinks since it works from other vendors it must be on their end

I found this problem with O'Reilly, it appears the problem is in the vehicle described in Mitchell not matching the vehicle needed in O'Reilly. We work on older Jags, Land Rovers, and British sports cars. I'll give you a for instance, in Mitchell: 1959 Nash Metropolitan, pulling up first call button I had to redefine the vehicle to 1959 Metropolitan 1500 before I could transfer parts

590 this used to work, without a vehicle in it, and now does again, so they did have some sort of glitch. It does now work I can leave the vehicle field completely blank, and just type in a part number and it will now transfer again.
