Re: AutoValue - Myplace4parts link

They did get back to me, somehow our system was working with the wrong credentials. Now that I have the correct username & password everything works as it should!

May be best to email or call, this is all I see for set up help. When I did it I had the local salesman helping me.
Thank you - for some reason I did not see that!
I will see what they have to say.

He's out of the office this week. So we will see what next week brings ;)

Re: AutoValue - Myplace4parts link

Not sure this link will help you or not, it is what I had to use when we upgraded our system. You may have already done this. https://myplaceforparts.com/web/autowares/shop-integrations1 I did do that, but something must not be connecting right, because it comes up with the incorrect seller id. If ...

AutoValue - Myplace4parts link

I replaced my computer - which just runs Mitchell as a workstation. I was able to get everything loaded & working - but the AutoValue/Myplace4parts link. I'm trying to decide if it's a Mitchell side problem or stupid user (me) problem. I installed the catalog & it appears to have pulled the username...

Same for us. Opens part catalog.
Do you use it more for parts or for tires?

US Auto Force Catalog interface

Is anyone else using US Auto Force's catalog? When we go into the catalog, it always opens to the parts side - even though we have it set to open to the tire side. Just checking to see if anyone else is having the same issue? I do think it is on the US Auto Force side, but of course they want to bla...

Re: VIN Decode on 8.2.1.81

Haha. Sorry about that. I was just at your website and saw all the trailers. Cool! Thanks! We made the switch to trailers sales only last year after we could not find anymore techs. We wouldn't put cars on the lot until we had gone through them & with being so busy in the shop with customer work, i...

Re: VIN Decode on 8.2.1.81

2021 is the year of the trailer. Now that I know it is doing it, I will just make sure to change all the fields to what I need. I just wanted to make sure someone knew about the problem in case there is something to fix it.

Re: VIN Decode on 8.2.1.81

Oooop = I didn't notice there was only 16 digits in the VIN. It won't decode because it is a trailer. But just thought it was weird that it defaulted to the RAV4.

VIN Decode on 8.2.1.81

After updating to the 8.2.1.81 version, when entering vehicles into the customer file. I am having a strange problem. (I am entering trailers that don't vin decode) When entering the trailer I enter the License, VIN and then enter 2021 in the year - it automatically puts Toyota for the make & RAV4 P...

Re: Prodemand Credential update?

Been busy, but thought I would update. I did call into Tech Support & I ended up having to create a new user/password combo. He was unable to figure out what had caused it to need to be reset. After I had gotten off the phone with him, I remembered I had to replace a hard drive in one of the worksta...

Prodemand Credential update?

The guys in the shop tried to log into the prodemand website in the shop. It keeps asking for new credentials. It wants us to create a new user name & password. Is this something new?

I did try to create a new user name & password & it would not work either.

Re: Manager SE 8.2 Release

I think the search box has been there for quite awhile. I actually didn't know it was there until Tim pointed it out to us in a class in February. Glad I go to his classes for a refresher when I can. I did my best to not make my "light bulb" moment to obvious to him in the class. I guess they...

Re: Manager SE 8.2 Release

Kudo's to the programmers! That is a lot of great features to add. I really think a person needs to poke around the software more, I did not realize there was a word search box on the F4 history now. I have utilized the Year, Make, Model when I could remember the vehicle but not the customers name, ...

Re: Tax exempt report?

Great to hear! I was going to recommend, that if you do not use membership # for anything, to add "tax exempt" as a membership# to each TE account, then you can search for membership number "tax exempt" and all of them that you have tagged will pop up. Thank you for this idea! I think I will go put...

Re: Tax exempt report?

I do have all the exempt forms, but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a customer marked as exempt that I don't have a form for. I'm thinking I will just look at a list of the customers for the last two years & see if I can tell if someone might possibly be one that could have had tax exempt sa...

Tax exempt report?

I'm so lucky......got picked for a Sales and Use Tax Audit. Trying to make sure I have all the tax exempt forms from the customers that do not pay tax. I was looking thru the reports trying to find if there is a report that shows the tax exempt customers, I don't see one, but I might be over looking...

We have been using MyChat - it is free for up to 20 users. It is all hosted on your computers.
It's been working pretty good so far. You can either chat with individual or send a message out to the whole group.

Re: Notes Not Printing on Revisions?

I had noticed in the past - if you are printing revisions when you have an invoice, repair order, or estimate on the main screen, the notes print. If you go to the revisions and print with out an invoice or estimate open the notes do not print. I just double checked to verify & that is still the way ...
