Supersede Window - Part #s Missing?

Today I entered an old part number that is superseded in our system. The superseding parts window opened normally, but the part numbers for both parts was not displayed. I tried adjusting the column widths but did not find part numbers.

7.3.7 History Screen

Since the upgrade to 7.3.7, our History screen has a new column labeled Provider and all the fields are blank. What is this for and what populates the fields?

Re: Torque printing on Invoice

We look up the wheel torque specs and add a line with the spec to revision 9 where we keep the oil change parts and labor for the vehicle. This way our technicians can quickly locate the torque spec. It can be copy and paste to the invoice. I know that this does not help when you are replacing compo...

How To Manually Turn Part Line Blue?

So here is the work flow. I write an estimate in revisions using the integrated NAPA Pro Link catalog. I get authorization from the customer and using the parts ordering button, attempt to order the part. In this case, the part is not in stock at my local store and so the part line does not turn blu...

ShopStream Extensible Framework

Yesterday and again this morning, several of our workstations would get an error message when trying to start SE (ver 6.6.10). The message was "ShopStream Extensible Framework has stopped working" Called support and could not get through, was disconnected twice(not my usual experience) Tried to rest...

Re: VIN Decode Qualifiers

I was following this up to Ric's last post, which on the left side of the screen indicates the vehicle is a Cadillac, and on the right side of the screen shows it as a Honda. (Sorry I don't know how to copy and paste his screen shots)

Re: Add Photos To Customer Database

In the meantime, we have created subfolders in our pictures folder and named them by invoice #. Any photos that refer to the repairs made on that invoice, get stored in the folder that carries that invoice number as a name. Just an idea.

Qty 0 of inventory item

I did a search and could not find anything about this subject. When we are writing an estimate using a part we "should" have in inventory but is at quantity zero, would it be possible for that part number or description appear on the estimate/RO in a different color? That way we would know right awa...

Re: How do you PO?

I do what you do. I like the fact that you need to "approve" each part because it forces me to go line by line. I have occasionally caught the fact that not everything I ordered is on the invoice and allows me to follow up with the vendor right away.

Ric,

Can you establish a "fake" vendor named none to get to where you want to be?

Re: Auto Order Log Out????

This has been an issue for us for a while. Having an "Administrator" option that would disallow anyone else from taking possession of the work order would eliminate a Gremlin taking over the work order and causing the loss of the data being inputted at the service desk. This happens to me typically ...

Re: Fleet issue

On the customer tab, there is a field for referral. You could enter the salespersons name there and then run the date range-able report 'referral- friend/customer. This will give total sales amounts for the date range, but unfortunately not broken down by individual customers. I am guessing other us...

ESTIMATOR - Inconsistent locations. One example I can share is Cabin Filter replacement labor. Most of the time I can find it under HVAC>Heater>Cabin Filter. Sometimes it is not there but rather HVAC>HVAC Control Systems. Some examples of the latter is 2013 Hyundai Elantra, 2012 Toyota Highlander, 2...
