Re: Start New R.O. From History?

Welcome to the Forum. You can locate the vehicle by doing a partial VIN search, say the last 6 digits as we do. Start a new order by customer, then right click in the VIN column header to get the search box. Type in your partial VIN and the program will find the vehicle for you. I find it also help...

Re: Which R.O. Is Each P.O. For?

If you open an RO and start a PO through the open order from the pick list for the RO, the RO will appear on the PO. If you order electronically via an open RO, the RO number will show on the PO as well. I also agree that having the RO/Reference # on the main PO screen would be very helpful as well ...

Re: Sales Tax Reporting (Non-Taxable Deduction Types)

You can create a "Tax Location" for their account specifically. Setup >> Standard Tables >> Tax Rate Put their entity in the Description and leave both of the rates at 0%. Go to their customer profile and click "Tax" on the bottom left. Make sure the only check mark is on their entity and click "OK"...

Re: How to Customize a Report?

While the customization within Mitchell isn't possible, there are other reports that you can pull that have the customer's name and number. A few that I use are: - Customer List - By Customer Number: Lists the customer's information, vehicle information, last service and total spent with the company...

Re: Recommended Services

What do you mean? You can make as many default ones as you want and use the pull down menu to apply them. Maybe they mean a function to add the recommendation directly from the revision? I could see this as being extremely useful. I feel like a lot of the features aren't linked for maximum efficien...

Re: Smushed Together

As far as I can tell, no. Even when exporting to Excel, it's all one image so, there's no way to add spaces between the columns. I'd like to know if there's a way to accomplish this as well.

Re: Total sales and GP report

The Invoice Profit Summary Report will show you (1) the profit percentage (2) profit amount (3) total cost (4) total sale. It doesn't include tax and it breaks it down by the invoice number, date and customer but, you it doesn't sort by service writer or even list the service writer. Service Writer ...

Re: NEXPART Re-Stock Inventory Order?

I'm thinking the inventory part sales and materials used reports would inform the establishment or adjustment of stocking levels according to actual sales activity. We used to have a lesser version of Manager SE (w/o Inventory + PO features) and we suggested they use a dummy estimate or order, perh...

Re: NEXPART Re-Stock Inventory Order?

Purchase orders --> Re-Stock from Inventory --> Price Check --> Order Parts is the correct sequence. Once you've done that, you should see information on the PO Worksheet regarding the order status from the vendor. The status should update throughout the process as the vendor gets the order ready f...

Re: No Tax Non Profit

If the invoice has been posted, you'll need to unpost it. Once open or, if already open, click "Options" on the lower right-hand side of the screen. This will open the Order Options menu. Click "Tax Rates Applied" and select "Not Taxable" and then click "OK". A message will pop up asking if you want...

Re: Customer name change

Hmmmmm......Very good point! Sadly it's to late now. But I can easily pick out his "taxis" from his person cars. But you are right, that would be a little more labor intensive but the best way to do it. It's fixable. You can put his company name back on the profile and create a new one for his pers...

Re: Customer name change

If it were me, I'd create a new customer and transfer vehicles. If you do it that way, all of his invoices that you've billed to him under his company name will still show under the company name for your records and for his (if either are ever needed). If you just change the name, all invoices you'v...

Re: Does Every PO turn into an Inventory Part?

We've been accepting all parts into inventory so we can build our inventory. A lot of our parts are repeat parts so, this has helped us more than it has hurt us. You can narrow down your inventory by sorting by category or even key words and print those lists to make it easier to manage. I regularly...

Re: Labor Matrix

We actually use a lot of different labor rates with our matrix because we work on light, medium and heavy duty diesels and we do road service for heavy duty. If we can change the overall customer's labor type to one category we do, then all of the labor on their invoices from that point forward pull...

We are completely paperless from start to finish and use the tablets in the shop and the office. We are using Samsung Galaxy Tabs for tablets; 8 inch in the shop and 10 in the office. They have done very well and the oldest is over 2 years and we just put a battery in it, but otherwise going strong...

Best Tablet?

When we started using Mobile Manager, we bought some cheap tablets that were within the specs needed to run the program. We also didn't know how rough the guys were going to be with them so, we didn't want to spend too much. Now that we're seeing the use they're getting (and could get it the program...

My SA has a tablet too. She can see who is punched in and to what order at any time by accessing the Time Clock screen. That might help in the interim. I realize it's a far cry to the level of detail you want, but it's a start. We use chat all the time, no crashes. Best to contact support at Bolt-O...

I understand that Mobile Manager Pro is coming out with an enhanced time clock. This may solve many of your control issues. :D Stay tuned. Re: Preview Commissions?

As far as commissions are concerned, everything is predicated on posted invoices. There is no data available prior. I'm curious as to why you would need commission data while the work is being done, other than simple curiosity. As far as technician progress management, in Propack https://mitchell1....

Preview Commissions?

I was wondering if there was a way to preview commissions that a tech will have. Currently, from what I can see, all commission reports are from posted jobs only. I'd like to be able to view who is on what, how many hours they're set to bill for and all of that prior to them completing jobs as a dai...
