Just started this morning. I usually click "Board Index" at the top of the page. Seems to be happening more if I am not active on the computer for more than a few minutes.

I'm with Steve on this. Crank sensors are notorious for failing and not throwing codes on these. As far as blank dash and no crank, not a problem generally caused by the crank sensor.

Re: 1995 Nissan Maxima Misfire

Next step for me would be a cylinder pressure test. I have had cars that had even compression and running compression that had a valve that did not seal good. Also would physically inspect cams for proper lift and worn lobes. Just a thought, I left Nissan about the time these engines were being intr...

Re: 1994 Isuzu Trooper 3.2L Cyl Heads Coolant Pipe Removal Time?

The recent Rodeo fiasco here at the shop leads me to agree! Ignition module no longer available, wiring shorted everwhere! Paid well but man what a pain in the a*#!

Re: 1999 Jeep Gr Cherokee Larado - 4.0L Dies

Check power on red and pink/black wires at ignition switch. If ya got power there and nothing coming thru on the yellow when key is turned to start ya got a bad switch. If not then ya might have a bad PDC (I have repalced a few) or a failure at the bulkhead connector. We did have some problems with ...

Re: 2004 Ford E350 SuperDuty - Cruise Control Inop TIP

The E-350 had a brake pressure switch on the master cylinder that created the problem. I would look to see if the Crown Vic has a switch on the master. Was told by the guys at Ford that all the techs keep one for the Trucks to install for a quik test. Not sure if this applies to the Vic but would be...

Re: 1996 Isuzu Rodeo - Need Module!

Thanks folks! The owners are good floks. They asked me to look over a few used cars for them before purchase. This Rodeo was the cleanest one they brought in that was in their price range, paying cash. 180k on the clock but really clean, apperared to be well kept. I recommended a timing belt as insu...

1996 Isuzu Rodeo - Need Module! FOUND

Ok folks I am up the creek and need help. 1996 Rodeo 3.2 v-6. Need the ignition module. Isuzu calls it ignition swith-coil (I think thats what they said). It is located on the top off the intake manifold to the rear. The activant cat has a great pic of it, I just dont know how to copy it over to her...

2004 Ford E350 SuperDuty - Cruise Control Inop TIP

Just a heads up. I replaced a cruise control servo after all the tests lead to a failed servo. Roadtest cruise was still inop. Called Ford to inquire on the chances of the servo being bad outta the box. Parts guy recommended I replace the brake pressure switch on the master. Did so and roadtested OK...

May want to check the crank dampner for slip. That would cause the timing marks to be off. Wouldnt be the first one. Have a good weekend all :!:

Re: 1997 Chevy Lumina - Timing chain

I would bring #1 up to TDC and do a cylinder leak test. :?: Could pull a valve cover and check valves against piston TDC. Eithe should give ya some indication of a "skipped" chain.

I prefer books. It gives me time to study WITH-OUT being in front of a computer. I personally find it easier to learn from a book.
