Re: RE: 8.5 with 2 phones for texting

The WIP screen went to a newer programming style called Dev Express. All the screens will go there eventually. I found the font a little small at first too. Depending on your screen res., you can change the font size by going to 125%. This worked well for me on a UHD monitor. On smaller monitors ch...

Re: Tech support rant - apologies in advance.

Bruce, To expand on the technical aspect: There is communication between our texting service and your database. Then another communication occurs via the SMS provider via their API, and all of that is recorded to another database here. Then additional communication occurs via the texting service da...

Re: Tech support rant - apologies in advance.

Hi Bruce, Sorry for the delay getting back to you. I guess no more vacations for me - too much piles up! :P Regarding deletion, as I was able to briefly share with Tim, there's a rule about re-downloading messages from the last 24 hours. In the event your database was corrupted, we wanted to ensure...

Re: Tech support rant - apologies in advance.

From Silky7 (in meetings most of today) "The rule about deleting texts less than 24 hours old has always been in effect. If the threads are older than that, we should direct these into support. They can see if the delete operation is failing, or the delete is successful, but then be re-downloaded."...

Tech support rant - apologies in advance.

I have called tech support on numerous occasion for various issues and I am generally grateful and satisfied. They definitely have a grasp on many issues that occur and how to resolve them. However, lately my experiences have been less satisfying, had less resolution, and much more frustration. My r...

Re: Text message onboarding

We've completed our investigation into this process starting with version 7.5, when texting was introduced, and through every public release since. It has always functioned the same. As such, I'll record the process you've outlined as a requested change, but it is not a bug. So by design it is supp...

Re: Text message onboarding

I tried duplicating and the new number did not populate and the existing home number did not change or duplicate. That's the behavior I would expect. Granted I had to fabricate the scenario since I've never had to onboard a new text number to an existing customer. We always have the customers text ...

Re: Text message onboarding

As Ric alluded to, I don't think the intent was to ever overwrite an existing number. However, the business logic for the process was established before my time, so we're checking previous versions to see if the process did indeed change. Bruce, do you recall when you noticed this (was it just sinc...

Re: Text message onboarding

The issue I see is that by selecting the phone number by drop-down is simply a display. I don't believe it's a mechanism to ASSIGN or OVERWRITE an onboarding number. The new number IS associated with the customer, it just doesn't write it in the customer record. I'm not sure what the programmers or...

Re: Text message onboarding

It isn't isolated to my system - I called tech support yesterday and they said it was designed this way (They reproduced it on their side) and offered to submit a feedback 'feature request' I screen shared with them and they saw it - never said it was my system, they said it was working 'as designed...

Teamworks SE 8.02.141 Not enrolled in online scheduling Once in a while an existing customer texts my mitchell text number from a new number. In the past I found it was easy to add this number to that customer record by: - Double clicking the unassigned message - 'Resolve text message to customer' s...

Re: Version 8.1.4 doesn't show order/schedule hours for the

You might reference the performance with tech support to see if anything can be done. The newer releases (starting with 8.0.9) automatically detect 64 bit and install that version to take advantage. There was also a gain in time required for Scheduler to open; from 24-30 seconds in some cases down ...

As a workaround for now, the information can still be accessed from these two screens: sch1.png sch2.png This I know - just more click click click to get there..... Used to be at a glance on the month view which was quick and efficient. Also when I click back from the day view back to the month vie...

Re: Version 8.1.4 doesn't show order/schedule hours for the

Apologies Bruce, this defect was recorded shortly after the release went out. It will be fixed (restored) on the next release, slated for March. I appreciate the quick reply. This number is important to me - now I have to click around even more to schedule things and possibly introduce error (or ca...

Version 8.1.4 doesn't show order/schedule hours for day FIXED

I rely on this number on a daily basis. It tells me if I am overbooked or if I have time on a particular day. Now this number that I heavily rely upon is gone!

I need this number so I can run my business effectively.

What can I do?

Message center is VERY slow when there are 30 or so threads

Slows down the whole system to a crawl! I sent maybe 15-20 messages initially in the first few weeks, I tried to keep them cleaned up but deleting is sooo slow. Pretty soon I had 30-40 threads with 2-3 messages in some and 14-15 for those chatty ones. When message center was open it made mitchell un...

Re: Keyboard Shortcut For Sublet Is Missing?

In the latest update 7.3.10 the sublet shortcut was removed altogether. Alt-N, ALT-B no longer works... Alt + N still works in 7.3.10, but Alt + B does not work. I should have clarified. The discussion was about Sublet access using keyboard shortcuts. Yes ALT-N still gets to notes as it always has.

Keyboard shortcuts - window loses focus and shortcuts stop

I use keyboard shortcuts all. the. time. Since 7.0 they have become very finicky, working once and then not working again until the order area of the screen is clicked with a mouse. Instead of performing the shortcut, the 'alt' menu in the menu bar opens instead. Very clumsy having to go back and fo...
