Re: Can a part be removed fron inventory without being on an invoice?

Line items will be grouped into jobs, and jobs will be clearly presented with their own subtotal. So when a customer of your shop has additional work, they'll still clearly see the charges for the LOF.

Re: Can a part be removed fron inventory without being on an invoice?

I don't think you'll have to worry about this too much longer. We're working towards a solution that will allow you to use the program correctly and meet that customer need.

Re: EST Convert to Revision?

Windows clipboard (Windows + V) is fantastic for anyone's daily use of any sort on a computer. Glad you brought it up as a tip! With that said, it can be a tad suspect for saving longer strings (like a lot of line items) and might not have the best results when pasting history. However, we're curren...

Hi Sherri,

Mitchell 1 does not have any specific recommendations in this area. A number of other forum users do use them, so perhaps they can provide feedback.

Re: Warranty Option

Hello,

Would you mind clarifying your post for me? When you're referring to warranty work in this context, do you mean in-house warranty work (e.g., reman starter you've had to replace 3 times all on your dime) or reimbursement from third-party warranty companies?

Will update with an ETA if it becomes applicable, but often with IT departments it's just "it's working now."

Apologies, but this is not on your end. Our service for uploading seems to be blocked by recent security updates. We are working to resolve this. Thank you for your patience.

Re: Auto Add DVI to Order

The MPI/DVI currently is uncoupled from any and all labor function, though I do appreciate your feedback. The addition of the inspection as part of a canned job in particular makes complete sense.

Re: Updating All Our PCs to New Hardware

Hi David, Our support has seen periodic issues in networking between Windows 10 and 11 (beyond our scope of support), but the shop management application is supported on either operating system. Anecdotally speaking, we have a lot of customers who have done this same type of upgrade without hiccup. ...

Re: Pay hours vs billed hours performance pay

If I'm following you, this will be one of the easiest things to solve, which is good! I'm going to summarize as you want the Tech Pay Hours to equal Charged Hours, regardless of the time recorded in Job clock (Actual Hours), correct? Simply head back into Markup and change from Sale Only to Sale and...

Re: Inventory Stock Location

Hi Daniel, Interestingly enough, this is the second time I've heard this request this year. Like anything in software development, it's a bit more work than it sounds. I've kept it in the backlog still, but it's not been a priority just yet. (As odd as it may sound, the majority of our customers don...

Re: Import Time

SO what you are saying then is that I need to take the actual hours and put it up in the charged hours? It appears that this step is what I am missing. I had somehow naively assumed that the time clock would automatically place the actual hours in the charged hours. If that is the case, then moving...

Re: Import Time

It does update the Actual Hours on the line item in the RO once completed. There is no special setting for that. You mention the time on the RO in the WIP - there is no such thing. This leads me to wonder if you're referring to the Charged Hours? That is not something the Time Clock will ever modify...

Re: Import Time

I'm not sure I completely understand the question. If the technician is logging into the Time Manager job clock and ultimately marking items complete, the line on the RO is updated to match. *Edited for clarity* The Actual Hours value is what is updated.
