Re: 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Cooling Fan
It will run at 10 amps and go as high as 17. I figure it's ok but did not want to get burned like I did on a heater fan module once upon a time. Thanks for the input.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Cooling Fan
Does anyone know what the amperage draw should be for a 99 Grand Cherokee engine cooling fan with a 4.0 engine? This Jeep has no engine mounted fan and relies on just the electric fan. Had a bad fan module, Which I replaced, and just for kicks tested the current draw and found it to run as hight as ...

Re: 2002 VW Jetta - A/C Compressor Issue
I checked that wire at the back of the switch and when you increase the speed the power goes bye bye. I have the dash apart and will check the resistor. The blower does work on all speeds. Thanks for the input. I will report back after more testing.

2002 VW Jetta - A/C Compressor Issue
I have a 2002 Jetta with a 2.0 AZG engine. The problem is that the A/C clutch engages on low blower only but is inoperative in all the other speeds. If you swich to the other speeds the A/C light on the dash goes out and the compressor quits. I have a Solus ultra and am not able to get any codes. I ...

Re: 2006 Trailblazer - Front Differential Noise
This guy is a do-it-your- selfer when he can. He admitted to never having serviced the differentials or transfer case. Ok by me. More good paying work for us. And yes - it had been going on for a while. I found an old estimate for a wheel bearing from a year ago. Never had diagnosed it but on a test...

Re: 2006 Trailblazer - Front Differential Noise
Thought I had better post the final cure on this fine GM product. I did put in a reman differential unit that I found locally. The races for the side bearings were loose and the bearings were shot. After the initial intermediate repair and the differential replacement I still had a noise and f...

Re: 2006 Trailblazer front differential
I realize that but it only the intermediate shaft that passes through. The intermediate housing bolts on the right side of the pan. I would assume that the differential bolts on the left side, but we all know what assume means.

2006 Trailblazer - Front Differential Noise
II had a 2006 Trailblazer come in over the weekend with a noise in the front differential. There was lots of noise from the front intermediate housing so I replaced the bearings and seals in the intermediate housing. I also replaced the outer intermediate clutch gear due to brunelling on the bearing...

Re: 2010 Town & Country - Key Will Not Turn Off
Well, The van is fixed. :D I installed a WIN Module and everything was fine until the keys were programmed. After programming the key would not shut off. I forgot to mention earlier that the customer filled the WIN Module full of WD40. He must have had this problem for a while. When I asked h...

Re: 2010 Town & Country - Key Will Not Turn Off
I did find a recall but it was for the key going from the on position to the accessory position. Only one I found. It did not mention the key not going to the off position and not being able to remove the key. It is possible there is on that Mitchell does not have yet.

2010 Town & Country - Key Will Not Turn Off
Town and Country came in and I can't remove the key from the ignition. I did hook up my scanner and it indicates that it is seeing that the transmission is in park. Was not able to get any other data on the WIN module with the solus scanner. I also got the customers extra key and held it next to the...

Re: 2000 Deville DTS - Find Cooling Hoses?
That's what I ended up doing was a trip to the parts store and matched them up and came up with something that would work. You would think that Gates or Goodyear would be all over this.

Re: 2003 Cadillac DHS - U Codes
Cleared all codes and could not get into any of the modules. Unplugged both rear door modules and was then able to get into the rest of the modules. Drove it with the rear door modules unplugged and it did not act up. Found broken wiring from the b pillar to the door. repaired that and the left lock...
