Re: Option For 'Drop Off' To Follow Start Time?

We use the scheduler for time loading, so the jobs are moved around and re-ordered. Most of our work is drop-offs, which I suspect is common. We will organize the day in advance, so a drop vehicle may not get started until 2pm. It will be placed at 2pm far in advance of the workday. That is how we ...

Re: Option For 'Drop Off' To Follow Start Time?

I respectfully disagree. Unless it's a waiter, my drop off and start times are rarely the same and waiter's constitute less than 2% of my work. This is the struggle the programmers have where there are soooo many different shops out there. So explain the benefit to you to have two different fields?

Re: Option For 'Drop Off' To Follow Start Time?

I prefer the elimination of the "drop off" box altogether. I don't know about other shops, but it's a redundant setting. My "drop off" and "scheduled time" have ALWAYS been the same. This is why software writers need to ask more questions before making changes that affect everyone, but benefit very ...

Re: Drop off time vs. Appointment Reminders and Change Vehic

I couldn't agree more!! I CAN'T STAND IT!! I am about ready to cancel my CRM because of this, and I love CRM! VERY annoying.... I'm no software expert, but how hard can it be for the folks over at the CRM department to pull the field that says "scheduled time" instead of "drop off time"? Seems to m...

Re: Vehicle Selection Screen Stretching Columns

So I played around with this a little and found that if I resized the columns to where I like they stayed put when I re-opened, UNLESS I changed the overall size of the window using the bottom right corner. Then they all stretched out weird-like. Can you confirm a similar experience? I cannot confi...

Vehicle Selection Screen Stretching Columns

Has there been a fix for the vehicle selection screen warping for no reason? When we go to schedule an appointment, and go to select a vehicle, the screen showing the list of customers cars seems to warp on it's own. The year column should never be allowed to stretch beyond 4 (or maybe 6) characters...

The plan was, and still is, for the next major version tentatively designated as 7.3. OK. I thought it was included in this major release...

I've already updated to the next major release, or so I thought? ( 7.2.5)

If not this release, when?

Drop off time vs. Appointment Reminders and Change Vehicle

Still getting customers calling because they scheduled an appointment at 10:00 AM and the email reminder says 8:00 AM. I would prefer eliminating the "drop off" field entirely. In my shop, the scheduled time IS the drop off time. Not all of us are capable of ALWAYS changing both times on EVERY appoi...

Re: Option For 'Drop Off' To Follow Start Time?

Another phone call, another customer wondering if they should be coming in at 8:00 or at 3:00 PM like they thought. I am so angry about this, and to add insult to injury, we all just received a nice letter saying the price of the software is going UP. It's disgusting when you make a change to someth...

Re: Option For 'Drop Off' To Follow Start Time?

This is my take Drop off time-Time set for customer to drop off car and review with service writer. That would be the time I set for the customer to come in. And I believe this the time CRM uses for the reminders. Start time-The time I expect to get it into the shop. End time-The time I anticipate ...

Re: Option For 'Drop Off' To Follow Start Time?

Just got off the phone with a customer who asked if her appointment was changed? She got an email saying her appointment was at 8AM but thought she made it for 11AM. I checked and her "drop off time" was at 8AM and her appointment time is 11AM. I am so frustrated that the CRM folks apparently don't ...

Re: Option For 'Drop Off' To Follow Start Time?

I refer to 'option' regarding you can't turn it off. It cannot be turned off. This field was needed for CRM integration issues with the new scheduler. I love the fact that I can designate a drop off time independent from where the work will be slotted in my day. Most of my work is drops, very few w...

Re: Option For 'Drop Off' To Follow Start Time?

The drop off time is not an option field. It is hard coded in the program. You can change the default drop off time in the scheduler setup screen. The drop off time has a default setting in settings, but is indeed an "option" field as you can see in my screen capture. It's a drop down menu item and ...

Re: Auto-Add to Scheduler Not Working?

I think you missed a couple of takeaways here. First, as I said RO's do not automatically add to the schedule yet . I apologize, I should have been more explicit and said that we do plan to add that option. Secondly, you stated that you never do estimates. My point was to try to clarify that while ...

Re: Auto-Add to Scheduler Not Working?

Estimates are a legal requirement in many states as a consumer protection practice. I'm honestly surprised you've never had to provide one. From https://www.ag.state.mn.us/Consumer/Handbooks/MNCarLaws/MNCarLaws_3.asp Your Rights When Your Car Is Repaired Minnesota’s Truth in Repairs Act spells out ...

Re: Vendor to Part Correlation

Hopefully this helps: First, the vendor is going to match what your inventory record has set, not the catalog where you transferred from. For example: say you made an inventory record for a Fram Filter PH8A and set the vendor to O'Reilly. Then the next day you transferred it from a Nexpart-based ve...

Re: Auto-Add to Scheduler Not Working?

Perhaps you're starting at the R.O. stage instead of EST? A walk in customer would naturally be started as an RO since we know what they want already. Why start at Estimate?? We solved the "estimate" problem years ago by creating a customer named "Estimate, Only" and that RO is always at the top of...
