2005 Ford F250 5.4L - Cam Phaser Sticks FIXED
Truck comes in with damaged head, broken cam and phaser. We replaced head, cam, both phasers, both actuators, timing chains, guides and tensioners. After having the timing cover off three times, I am sure the timing is right. After driving for some distance the cam phaser sticks in full retard. Idle...

Re: 2004 Ford F350 - 10-6.8L PCM replacement
Third PCM did the trick. We purchased a PCM from a different supplier and that solved the problem. I love it when things go smooth.

Re: 2004 Ford F350 - 10-6.8L PCM replacement
Thank you. We lose IC communications at the same time. I will leave cluster unplugged tonight and see what happens tomorrow. I am not confident in quality of PCM but Ford said they could not replace it because it is obsolete.

2004 Ford F350 - 10-6.8L PCM Replacement FIXED
We have a 2004 F350 with a 6.8L V-10. Base model truck with no PATS. It came in with MIL on for o2 heater code. Code set even though no problem was found. Determined PCM faulty. Replaced PCM and programmed. The fault went away and monitors ran. The next day the truck would not start and we had no co...

Re: 05 CTS Battery Life
We have checked for parasitic draw several times. No problems found and the battery will go from fully charged to dead in the time it takes to fill the car with gas. Also the battery will not recharge at all after the event.

2005 Cadillac CTS - Battery Life
2005 CTS is our personal vehicle we purchased in 2009 with 14,000 miles on it. It's a great car except that it is getting it's fifth new battery since we've owned it. Without warning the batteries go from good to bad instantly. Charging voltage is 14.6 to 14.7 volts constantly. Starting system check...

Re: 2005-2008 Ford - Broken Spark Plugs
We had the threaded part came out but the insulator broke off and couldn't get the extraction tool in the sleeve to remove. We rotated the engine to open the exhaust valve. We blew air up the exhaust pipe with our shop vac while chipping out the broken insulator. The air prevented anything from fall...

Re: 2001 Dodge R2500 - 5.9L Diesel P1763
From Gib's brother,
This problem was resolved by taking truck to a different transmission shop. Pressure was going too high and setting code P1763. Transmission would then go into default mode. Second shop set pressure to proper spec and no more problem.
