Re: Change Layout Of Standard Email?
No. I use Outlook, and there are five different email accounts within Outlook. When I click the Email button in Mitchell, it opens Outlook and automatically populates the email with one of my five accounts in the "from" field. It always defaults to an account that I'd rather not use, so I'd like to ...

Change Layout Of Standard Email?
I am not satisfied with the canned email that the program spits out, and I'd like to fix it up. I can't find the correct file to modify, though. I also would like Mitchell to use a different email address than the one it currently defaults to. How can I address these little quirks?

Re: P.O.Newb Questions
Thanks, all. It was on the header, the one place I wasn't looking. I was scouring everything inside the box for this tidbit of info, and not seeing the forest for the trees.

P.O.Newb Questions
I feel like this is something that I should have figured out by myself, but I can't find what I need from clicking in Manager or from searching the forum or support site. Manager SE: I use it just fine, as does my front office staff. We write up customers, use electronic catalogs to find parts, we c...

Re: Selling A Car
Perfect, thank you. I knew there had to be a function for it, just couldn't come up with it on my own.

Selling A Car
I live/work in a small town, and quite often, a vehicle will change ownership but still come to my shop for service. I haven't quite figured out how to transfer this within Mitchell in a way that I'm comfortable with, maybe I'm missing a step or something. How can go into a vehicle and simply change...

Re: Parts Ordered - Parts Needed List Not Updating?
This has been a consistent concern of mine for the past couple of years. I've mentioned it on this forum on a couple of different occasions, and I've been assured that it's being addressed. However, on the list of things that are being fixed on the new release, I see that it's not mentioned. At leas...

Re: Recommended Printers
We have a couple of Dell 3100cn color lasers. We affectionately call them R2D2. One is 2 sided with an extra tray. They're fast and on the network so no computer needed. One is dying but the other is going strong and we've had them for many many years. My guess is printer preference is a rather per...

Re: Revision: Parts Already Ordered?
I had clicked that correctly, and the lines did come up separately on the RO. I thought at first that they were combined in the parts ordering window, but I was looking at the wrong column. So, at this point, at least I now know how to individually confirm parts, and hopefully that will help us to k...

Re: Revision: Parts Already Ordered?
lol We are chipping away at this. I did that, and now I am able to flag those previously ordered parts as confirmed, and they do not show up on the parts ordering screen. Well, almost. Some of the parts I'm ordering today are the same part numbers from last week, and Manager is still combining the n...

Re: Revision: Parts Already Ordered?
This might give me a workaround until the issue is resolved: is there a way that I can selectively "confirm" parts on a repair order? For example, today's frustration is the shop ticket, on which I order oil filters each week. Last week I ordered 20 or so filters, and today I need to order 20 or so ...

Re: Revision: Parts Already Ordered?
I'm glad it's not just me that's having trouble with this. I was starting to get a complex.
Seriously, though.... any word on this from powers-that-be?

I assume that this is also in the works, but do you have an anticipated date for prodemand integration into Snap On Verus?

Re: Discount Setup
Perhaps this is something that can be incorporated in future updates? Interestingly, this applies to a AAA discount, which is standardized nationwide at 5% with a cap of $50 (was $100 until very recently, but the idea is the same). So it seems that there are probably hundreds of Mitchell users that ...

Re: Revision: Parts Already Ordered?
I order through five different catalog systems all the time, and it makes no difference which one I use in this regard. By way of example, I can look up an oil filter at Napa. Drop it on the RO. Click the Parts Ordering button, and follow it through to place the order. I can close the RO and open ri...

Re: Revision: Parts Already Ordered?
My version 5.9 used to only show parts that had not been ordered, if I had checked the appropriate box. My version 6.4 now always shows all of the parts on an RO in the parts ordering box, even if the "show only parts necessary to complete order" box is checked. I did not use PO's in 5.9, and I do n...

Discount Setup
I'm trying to institute a new discount for my customers: 5% off up to $50 max. I set up the 5% discount easily enough. There is no dialog box I can see that allows me to limit this discount to $50. I thought I had seen that option in the past, but I can't come up with it now that I need it. Solutions?

Re: Revision: Parts Already Ordered?
I have always had this problem with 6.4, whether from revisions or repair orders: I can order parts repeatedly with no indicator that they have already been ordered, and as you've noted, checking the box in that window makes no difference. The fact that I don't use PO's has been cited as the reason ...
