Re: Digital Inspection Branding - XOXO Car vs Your Shop

That's great news!

Ok, BoltOn, great start at listening! Now how about that logo in the fly out menu?

Re: Digital Inspection Branding - XOXO Car vs Your Shop

That information would be good to know as a client because we're getting ready to change inspection companies and pretty much have the replacement already picked out. If they're going to drop the XOXO branding and let the inspection be branded as our shop's inspection, then we would likely consider ...

Re: Digital Inspection Branding - XOXO Car vs Your Shop

They also apparently can't figure out how to fix the issue of the white banner across the top covering up part of the picture of the vehicle. "Here's a picture of your car, Mr. Customer...kind of"

Re: Digital Inspection Branding - XOXO Car vs Your Shop

Agreed. The premise feels like if a shop uses this inspection they are all the same. It deflates the uniqueness of each shop and how they approach their inspections. For example, I charge for my inspections, many do not. Way too broad of a stroke for my tastes. We have multiple inspections built: A...

Re: Digital Inspection Branding - XOXO Car vs Your Shop

After the rumors I'm hearing from guys in the know, this is becoming very unsettling. Everything I'm hearing with what I see on http://lp.boltontechnology.com/xoxocar is making me sick. We sell our digital inspections as something we offer that's unique. It's a service that other shops locally don'...

Re: Digital Inspection Branding - XOXO Car vs Your Shop

John, I know this is unrelated to this discussion post, but on thing you could pass along to BoltOn is that Message Manager needs is to show symbols &/or emojis. We have clients who respond with comments or emojis assuming that our text works just like their phones, but it comes across as just gibbe...

Perhaps bolt-on would like to pay shops to promote their XOXO branding.

Re: Digital Inspection Branding - XOXO Car vs Your Shop

One last bit; other than Vision and WP classes I have absolutely no training as marketing professional. But as an automotive repair professional, my personal opinion is that the XOXO Car branding is cheesy, like something that the giant, generic, corporate chains would promote. Those chain stores ar...

Re: Digital Inspection Branding - XOXO Car vs Your Shop

The branding issue is a big deal to me. I do not plan to continue branding my shop with the XOXO Car brand. Gerald Martin (Speaking as a manager, and not the shop owner) I agree with this wholeheartedly. Were it not for some of the reports that BoltOn offers (much better than Mitchell themselves), ...

Re: Digital Inspection Branding - XOXO Car vs Your Shop

I feel the same way that many on this board do. I made it a point to stop by the BoltOn booth at Vision Training in KC last week as I had both a few questions on how to better use their system and to express our opinion on the new inspection. Here are a few thoughts: * I understand where they were g...

Re: Counter Sale - No Part Numbers

Brian, as far as wanting to know "whom did what and when for warranty accuracy", are you referring to the tech who did work or the customer who's purchasing the parts? We don't use Counter Sales for anything with labor, only parts sales over the counter. And we include the Customer's information on ...

Counter Sale - No Part Numbers

I tried searching the forums and didn't turn anything up, so I apologize if this has been discussed previously. At the Mitchell training this weekend in Orlando they stated the most popular Invoice options are No Hour Detail / No Part Number, which is how we print Invoices as well. But we'd love to ...

Re: SE 5.54 Manual P.O. Parts Highlight?

I'm joining this conversation a few months late, but being able to have manually entered PO's highlighted would be a huge help. We order virtually no parts through any of the standard parts suppliers. WorldPac gets most of our business because of their German OEM inventory and the PO system works ok...
