Re: Network Problem - WS Finfing Host
I do as Silky has suggested and I also lock/bind the ip addresses to the individual computer/tablets and it really relieves a lot of ip conflict issues.

Re: Invoices printed to PDF get cut off
Paul, You can experience strange results based on the printer driver. There are two ways to generate a PDF from a Manager document. You can print to screen and export as Ric was mentioning. This is an Export of Crystal Reports to PDF. It tends to work best with your actual printer selected for prin...

Re: Invoices printed to PDF get cut off
I have not had this problem Paul, but I have had trouble since switching to 8.0 when printing more than one invoice...either the first or the second copy comes out with the whole bottom signature box and totals box blank. Like a blank 3 inch strip right above the bottom of the page. Just part of th...

Scheduler Not Populating?
All of a sudden my scheduler is not populating with the repair orders I put into Mitchell. It also is not retaining anything I put into it within the scheduler itself. Anyone else having this problem or do you know if they are having an issue?

Re: Additions to Report Pro Inspection List
It's not a report. It's the new inspection screen in Report Pro. You'll find the new column way over to the right. Might be off the screen. Thanks Ric, turns out it had been a while since I last shut down my computer that report pro had not been off to realize it needed updating. Now I have at and ...

Re: Additions to Report Pro Inspection List
I understand the idea and can see why some would like that. For my shop I wouldn't use it because as much as I like my techs and think they use their best judgement I need to go through and tweak the inspections. Sometimes it is just a spelling issue, sometimes it is a opinion issue, sometimes it i...

Re: Data Access for Reporting/Analysis
I don't know about SQL but back in the access days you could request to open the database and they would give you the password however you had to sign an agreement that it was your baby from then on and you gave up support if there were problems. Not sure what they do nowadays.

Re: Mitchell slowing down
Well I am kinda glad to hear it isn't just me. To give a little more specific hardware data we all my work stations are acting the same way. I have 6 of them. 4 are wired and 2 are wireless. All preform the same. The Server is wired to router as well All work stations are on version 8 and running wi...

Manager SE Slowing Down?
I don't know if it is just me and my system here but Mitchell is really slowing down. When I click a drop down menu in the WIP screen it takes what seems like a full second sometimes 2 seconds to respond. I will even get a "Mitchell not responding" and the screen will fade for a few second until it ...

Re: Order Hrs vs Actual Hrs
I don't know of any quick way within Mitchell short of manually making the calculations. I ended up using a third party program that is a time clock that the guys sign in for the day but also per job that integrates with Mitchell and gives me all those numbers. It is called Labor Profit Management.....

Re: Show and Tell: A Missed Opportunity
That is a nice idea. I have been using the computer monitor but that is hard to turn around and for them to see. I will have to see if I can adapt this. Thanks Ric.
