Re: 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Codes

So sorry for my late reply. Sounds like an issue with a broken wire or the EPS module in the steering column. How long ago was the damage? Possibly reopen the claim since the diagnostics can be muddled by the accident and quality of workmanship. Personally anytime we have an issue where an accident ...

Re: 2006 VW Jetta TDI Brake Pulsation Problem

Sounds like some highly paid Tire Tech really screwed up the tightening sequence. Before going any further I would spin the wheel while on a lift looking for even a minor deviation. The wheel on these especially aftermarket ones have a habit of extreme oxidation and the break pattern when the wheel ...

Different Colors For Notes On Work Orders?

Have been running into an issue where notes I add to tech sheets, final orders or customers notes on orders are being overlooked. On a few other systems not anything to do with auto or truck repair when I want something to stand out I have an option of changing the color on that item so it can be pi...

Sounds like a wiring issue in the OX sensor harness. Check for open or shorted to ground and look at fuse #23. Good Luck

In theory is sounds like it could happen but I still would try driving it around with the gas cap off.

Re: 1995 Chev Lumina 6-3.1L - Intermittent No-Start

Sorry for the late reply. A few things here, #1, is the hissing at the vale air coming out or a vacuum being released? I've had symptoms like this and the vents are plugged causing a vacuum lock when valve is depressed it relieves it and then allows fuel to flow. #2, a leak inside the tank may allow...

Re: 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid - Battery draw and P1570 Code?

Sounds like the main battery is on the way out. There are also a few recalls or tsb's dealing with programming updates as a resolution to this issue. from what I see though the Hybrid Battery has a bad cell.

Would love to help you but need a tad bit more information. Year would be a good beginning, mileage and any history if available. Then I may be able to help. Have a great 4th.

TIP: Older Toyota Cutting Out With Fuel And Spark

If you don't want to bang your head like I did watch the temp sensor reading when it starts cutting out. You can make it happen when the vehicle is fully warm by working the accelerator up and down. The sensor spikes and vehicle stumbles and dies. Just caught a tip about this on about page 10 of a s...

Re: 2007 Ford Taurus - Transmission Light & Beep?

I've got nothing more. Possibly the codes or random numbers have to do with the reman dash cluster not being completely purged of prior information. This was extremely common with Chrystler products leading to a cross contamination between all modules. I had some that would tell operator that the cr...

Re: 2007 Ford Taurus - Transmission Light & Beep?

I've run across weird issues stemming from a 20 pound key ring. Some people seem to have every key from the kingdom on their ring and it messes up the cylinder sometimes effecting the ignition switch itself. During a test drive when the symptoms appear try wiggling the key and cylinder. I may be mis...

Re: 2007 Ford Taurus - Transmission Light & Beep?

Many times I've found wiring issues at through plug, neutral safety switch, a kinked transmission line, a plugged transmission filter and we can't forget the possibility of a bad transmission. Just for s and g's sometimes I run a secondary ground off of the battery and attach it to engine block or i...

Re: 1997 Ford F700 Clutch

I have a truck guide that adds in time for rust and other issues that would add tech time. If you would give me all the specifics including anything but not limited to it's use, engine size, dump, pto attached to transmission, e/brake set up if it's not air brakes, all these things matter and lets n...

Re: Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet

Fixed the problem. The luggage cover keeps popping off of cleat killing the roof. Can't open the trunk once the roof is activated and I had set it in myself so I knew it was locked in. It was sagging in the middle and sliding out of the cleat killing the motor. Ordered new one from dealer.

Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet FIXED

I'm having a heck of a time with this one. Came in or service after sitting the Winter and the soft top switch was lighting up and flashing. Customer said battery went dead and customer charged it. We replaced the battery and Top went up about 2/3rds of the way and stopped. Found cargo cover had jum...

Re: Bringing A 1961 Cadillac Back To Life

Ya, Ya, I know I'm back again. I tell people like this you can't restore a car while you drive it. You can however do it in groups. This car if it were in my shop if customer agreed to it would get a minimum of the hydraulics in the brake system rebuilt, water pump, hoses, t/stat, tires, suspension ...
