Re: Quick Message Incorrect Phone Number
I use Bolt On..have not yet took on mobile manager. BUT..in my mind it should "mirror" Mitchell. As Ric said Mitchell made an adjustment based on user input. I would expect Mobile to follow that. And I am looking to possibly add Mobile at the first of the year.

Re: 1995 Chevy Lumina 6-3.1L - Intermittent No-Start
Similar issue sorta..had a 92 Camaro that would int start. Run good other times not so good. Had air in lines at times. Found a crack in the rubber line on the pump up to the fitting on the hanger. Replaced the pump and hose.

Re: Option For 'Drop Off' To Follow Start Time?
This is my take: Drop off time-Time set for customer to drop off car and review with service writer. That would be the time I set for the customer to come in. And I believe this the time CRM uses for the reminders. Start time-The time I expect to get it into the shop. End time-The time I anticipate ...

Re: Database backup files - Why are there two?
I believe the one you see in the morning is the auto back up that Mitchell runs overnight. Do you see a green or yellow check mark in the lower tray of the monitor? If so the odds are it's the M auto back up.

Re: Print Client's Acct Balance When Taking a Payment?
Ric..I have a client that has several cars with different balances due. I just tested by applying a $1.00 pmt to the first line of their account thru F5. The line I applied the payment to was $369.93. After payment was applied and saved I printed the receipt and on the right is balance due of $368.9...

Re: Print Client's Acct Balance When Taking a Payment?
F5..enter customer ID number..tab. You will see all outstanding unpaid invoices. Enter type of payment and amount. Hit auto distribute and apply. Hit save and the receipt will show any outstanding balance for the line you applied it to. I just ran a trial pmt on a fleet account and it shows balance ...

Re: POLL: How to Learn Manager SE
I have been using Mitchell for over 10 years (I think). I am always learning something new. It cant all be "taught"; some of it has to be hands on. I had never used PO's in the past. Learning that thru referring to the book from the training seminar, videos and hands on.

Accrual vs Cash
I am having a problem with the reports in Quikbooks vs Mitchell. I spoke to Back Office support today and they informed me that Mitchell reports run on Accrual accounting methods. I am set up on a cash basis in Quickbooks. My financial guy is telling me to stay on cash due to the size and structure ...

Re: Create PO From Parts Line?
If you use PO then back office will migrate the parts invoice into Quick Books for you..NO DOUBLE ENTRY! A few things I have learned in the last few months. 1) Close your PO as soon as the parts arrive. Otherwise they will show up in QB on the date you closed them 2) Be sure to enter the parts invoi...

Re: Create PO From Parts Line?
Thanks Ric! I guess I need to get my M1 training manual out and re-read it. I never used PO's before I got Back Office. Never paid attention to the pick list . It has been a learning curve to say the least! I may learn all this before I retire!

Create PO From Parts Line?
This may have been discussed before BBUUUTTT...Would it be possible to have a button on the parts window to check that would auto generate and populate a PO? Example: Ordering tires. Copy and paste the info from the tire supplier into the parts window on the RO. Now I have to manually create a PO fo...
