Re: Chrysler Corp. Vehicles Like OEM Spark Plugs
Had an 05 ford pick up that we put Bosch in, back in the day, and it came in the next day with mil on with mis-fire codes and engine skipping. We replaced the plugs with motorcraft and problem was solved. I have been a FIRM believer in oem plugs since then. It wasnt the first time ive seen that eith...

Mornin Steve. Good info in your post. Do you know where to find a list of there "rules"? I do feel that we get screwed a bit with insurance companies, having an edge like that would even up the board. Have a great day Steve, thanks.

Re: 2003 Chev Trailblazer - Water Damage?
its definately a goner. ins will total it at 3,500. customer said ran into river/lake and now it wont run. He never mentioned that the vehicle cut off because of a large hole in the side of the block, or at least this is my take on it. 3 gallons of water in crank case but NO oil, baseball size hole ...

2003 Chev Trailblazer - Water Damage?
Hi Folks, I've got one here I could use y'alls input on. This is not something I have ever done, exactly. Customer called and asked about a 03 Blazer. He said he had stuck it in water just over the floor for a couple of hours before he got it pulled out. I didn't think much of it and advised him to ...

Re: 2006 Dodge Caravan
maybe try knurling the seat where the seal goes. Take a punch and make several little indentations all around the surface. the indentations will also make protrusions around each hole. wouldnt hurt also to put a little rtv black on the outside of seal as well, it will still be easily removeable.

Re: 2000 Honda Accord - Multiple Lighting Issues
Update,,, After checking MANY grounds and inputs, diag procedure came down to changing suspected module with a know good one, and if not fixed then pick the next most likely module and change it with a known good one also. I was not willing to go there. We (begrudgingly) suggested the dealer. After ...

2000 Honda Accord - Multiple Lighting Issues FIXED???????

Turn lights on and press brake pedal, 3rd brake works and signals dimly lit and signal ind in dash come on. Hazzard on only and front si...

I usually do leak down tests on low comp readings. Tells a lot about where the compression is going.

Re: 2002 Honda CRV - No Shut Off
ive seen this before where the contacts in the ign switch break and stick together. Ign switch fixed it. After repair, you may want to check the charging system to make sure it has not fried the alt from disconnecting the circuit, seen that before too. Good luck

Re: 2003 Toyota Camry - No Brake Pedal
Im assuming that your shop did this work. Was the pedal low upon arrival? You can eliminate the calipers, slides and all that stuff at the wheels simply by clamping off the rubber lines at wheels. If pedal is still low then its not at the wheels, if pedal is good, just release clamps 1 by 1 while ho...

to be sure on the iac percent, create a vac leak while watching percentage. 30-35 is normal. Doesnt sound like vac leak or plate, based on info.

Re: 1999 Ford Taurus - 3.0L Hot Restart Idle Speed
34 percent is pretty normal for idle. Ive seen them aroung 45 or higher with vac leaks. Ive seen a LOT of ford idle issues due to dirty throttle plates, intake cleaner works pretty well.

Re: 1996 Chev Camaro 5.7L LT1 - P0336 arrrg FIXED
Thanks for posting fix. Funny thing is I was speaking to a customer about an alternator is his Saab this post popped into my mind. He wanted a reman installed from a local parts store and I was pushing a Bosch reman that was 300 dollars more. This alt is a bit of a pain and when something is labor ...
