Absolutely. It may be the scanner.
As far as setting the monitors, did you try the drive cycle?

Re: 2000 Excursion V10, 02 minitors won' reset
This one is weird to me. Vehicle has no downstream 02 sensor???? The upstream 02's are switching between .15V and .88V and both are going rich to lean normally. The pcm shows the evap, egr, catalyst and secondary air systems "NOT AVAILABLE"?????? The 02 & 02 heater readiness tests will not reset an...

Re: 1997 Mazda Protege - Transmission Code
That's curious. The diagnostic routine does not mention the TPS. What exactly is wrong with it? What relation to the code? I have some hunches.

Re: 1997 Mazda Protege - Transmission Code
Did you scope the sensor output? If the output is lost as the code indicates then it's verified. If the code returns and the output is not lost, then you may have a PCM issue. If the output is lost, and you know the sensor is good and you know the wiring is good, perhaps there is an air-gap issue or...

I'm wondering if the injectors are correct for the vehicle? Did the problem start after the customer did the work?

Re: A/C and Recirculate Buttons Flashing
Oh, and as to what causes this, it was probably the loss of battery. It tends to mess with the calibration.

Vehicle: 1997 Plymouth Voyager Engine: 2.4L Vehicle came in with a no start problem, customer could start vehicle when jumped. Customer Stated Battery Light was on and Instrument Cluster was acting irratically. Tech found corroded battery cable terminals to be cause of condition. Now the HVAC Contr...

Re: Labour discount
Is there any way to apply a labour discount to a customer type, I use this program in my Quick lube and have package pricing for each service in the labour catagory and I would like to set up certain customers with ongoing % discount. I know i can do it for parts but not for labour and as the packa...

You can only apply one discount per invoice. Multiple discounts may show up in a later version, but right now it's only one.

Re: 2003 Hyundai Elantra - Crank Seal
End of the day yesterday, Mark (tech) called Hyundai to get prices on the thrust washer and bearing cap, and parts guy said he asked around (after first saying he never really heard of this problem) and was told when this happens, they just replace short block! Ric, in your experience, does...

Re: 1999 Olds Silhouette - Intake Backfire
Yea well, that is what I'm thinking and that is why I was wondering if the 17% Purge Duty Cycle was causing the problem. Also, I am kind a suspecting a possible issue with a fuel injector but I did a fuel injector balance test on each one and they all came out with the same test results, so far as ...

Re: 1999 Olds Silhouette Intake Backfire
At idle long term fuel trim is -25% and short term fuel trim is -10%. Off idle long term is -10% and short term is 0%. Otherwise runs fine. Well there you go. Fuel trims always tell the story. Your car is on the verge of setting a rich code. -25 is maxed out. The PCM is taking fuel away. Find the c...
