Re: Nexpart Multi-User vs. Part Tech

I think they both have strengths and weaknesses. Partstech is super easy to set up and has a great support mechanism. If you're already using NexPart the interface is familiar whereas Partstech is brand new. And I would imagine that users will choose based on which of their suppliers participate on ...

Re: Update 8.5.02

It seems that the old method no longer works. And the new method likewise. Seems to hold if I don't shut down the host.

Re: NEW: PartsTech Catalog

Nice work. I've reported most of the same things so far. The PartsTech PO number is actually their confirmation number. It's listed in the Comments section under Internal notes. The first day I beta tested this I noticed line codes were different for the same part. There's still work to do to polish...

I notice when I order through PartsTech it does not eneter the vender letting me know who I ordered it through if needed in the future. It just says PartsTech.
I recommend inputting the invoice number to the PO before receiving. That way the invoice number will show on the history part record.

Re: Update 8.5.02

UPDATE: Ok...I just tried the workaround on ordering columns and closing program with just a few changes. Re-opened SE and it held the column order as I had tried. So I decided to re-order and resize all my columns to my liking. But before I could close the program, it reverted back to the first sa...

Oooo. Good to know. I'll call now to get those creds. Thanks!!
Did you have any luck? I was told O'Reilly does not participate in multi seller. I was given credentials that work just in nexpart.
I am still waiting for credentials.

Re: Nexpart Multi-Seller Active?

Does O'Reilly use Nexpart? I have them set up with the First Call button but also have Advance set up with Activant plus Nexpart so didn't know if O'Reilly was possible. I'd call the store but that would be a waste of time. No one knows anything about the online catalogs. We haven't had a rep for y...

Re: Update 8.5.02

I did not shut down my workstation after I made the change. I had walked out of the office and when I returned it was all gone. Not aware of the unintended effect the other programming changes created. I've since shut down and all is good now. In the past, if the WIP were to revert it always did it ...

Re: Update 8.5.02

Do you have multiple workstations? If so, are they running the same user? (this can be checked by the user at the bottom right of the Management Software) If the users are the same or multiple stations have the same user, close ALL machines running SE, open one station, make the changes for the col...

Re: New service advisor seat, set service advisor default?

First make sure you have the user set up, then set the default advisor while on that user. After that, every time a new Estimate, RO, PO, etc is created, the name will default to that person.

Re: Update 8.5.02

I just did the current update and the font is to small. Did I change something on accident. I do not remember a setting for font only color. The WIP screen went to a newer programming style called Dev Express. All the screens will go there eventually. I found the font a little small at first too. D...

RE: 8.5 with 2 phones for texting

The WIP screen went to a newer programming style called Dev Express. All the screens will go there eventually. I found the font a little small at first too. Depending on your screen res., you can change the font size by going to 125%. This worked well for me on a UHD monitor. On smaller monitors cha...

Re: Shop parts as Vendor

Is it possible when I look up a part that the inventory in our shop can be seen? Example: I need an oil filter for a 2006 Ford F450 with a diesel. Among the vendor options I can at the same time see if we have it in stock here at the shop? I believe that many years ago there was a protocol that tur...
