Re: 2001 Pont Bonneville Pwr Lock/Alarm Issues

I am using a otc Genisys. I can communicate with everything but the RIM. The alarm will not reset with the key in the door lock. I have checked the wires between modules and they all seem good with no breaks between them. Then I would start at the RIM and determine why there is no communication. Ch...

Re: 2001 Pont Bonneville Pwr Lock/Alarm Issues

The CTD system on these should also be diasbled by using the key in the door lock. Does it disable that way? The Dash Intergration Module is also a player in this. Can you communicate with it? Are you using a Tech2 or a different scanner? Each DLM has it's own power and ground. It communicates with ...

Re: 1997 Ford F150 - Battery Drain

Have a 97 F150 that drains tge battery over a week long period. It has about a 1.6 amp drain and when I unplug fuse # 15 in the interior fuse box the drain is gone. Fuse 15 feeds the GEM Module pin number 4 and 16. I thought that maybe the multi function switch might be bad but have wiggled it and ...

I would recommend that the authors of these posts would update a fix in a separate post instead of editing the original. It would be a much easier read.

Re: 2002 Ford Taurus - Irregular Heat Temps

I have experienced a heater problem on some of these cars. It may be only the 3.0L, but the impeller on the water pump erodes away the fins and will not circulate coolant through the heater core, however, will not in most cases cause an overheating problem. Took a lot of convincing from my tech aft...

Re: 1997 Chev Cavalier - 2.2L No Start

You can get a PO335 on 'cranks but does not start' if you try to start the engine more than 15 times unsuccessfully and do not shut the key off between attempts. I would ignore codes at this time.

That source field update issue also occurs if you jump from one order to another using the File> pulldown and selecting a recent order. That issue was posted on this forum in 2005.

Re: Bouncing Between Orders

Christi, I agree 300%. I have dual screens. I HATE switching ro's. I'd love to have one screen with an Ro on it that i am working. Have Mrs. Doe come in and want to pick up her car, flip her invoice up onto the other screen. MANY times I could work on two RO's at once if this was an option. But Tim...

I HAVE TRIED TO FLASH CODES THROUGH THE RED ABS EEC CONNECTOR WITH NO LUCK, PS THE ABS DOES NOT WORK WHEN BRAKES ARE SLAMMED ON (TESTED ON WET ROAD) If you get no flashes on the abs light when jumped, you may have to connect a test light at the abs connector between terminals 4 and 2, then proceed ...

i cannot flash codes either through the eec connector the amber abs light stays on steady even when connector is jumped. I have checked all grounds and they are ok. If this a 4wabs system, you flash codes through a dedicated abs connector under the hood. Should look similar to the EEC connector and...

Re: 1994 Ford Bronco - ABS Light

I am working on a 1994 Ford Bronco 5.8L. The vehicle has an ABS light on with no codes and no communication with any scan tool, all powers and grounds are ok and the ABS control module has been replaced. I have followed all Ford trouble trees and they all lead to a bad ABS control module but that i...

Make sure the adjustment is right on.....both sides have to be the same. Diiference is friction surfaces could cause this too...make sure the drums finish is the same on both sides. I have seen incorrect alignment readings cause this, but it is a rarity. I like Rich's idea...maybe the cylinders are ...
