Thank You Card Labels: Dymo LabelWriter 450
Question: I send thank you cards to customers after they visit our shop. I use the Dymo LabelWriter 450 to print the address labels. Does anyone know how to streamline this from Mitchell using a report instead of my typing out each one? Answer: From reports, Followup tab, select Thank You, then Hist...

Re: Time clock features request
I appreciate your concern. I do not have your answer yet. But I think I need to let you know that Bolt On does NOT have time clock on any SMS. I will prod my developers again to see what is coming. Yea, I know, that's the bummer. I love the bolt on products and we're all familiar with them and how ...

Re: Time clock features request
Thanks John. I really do want to stay with Mitchell and Bolt On if for no other reason than dreading learning a new system. Bolt On always seems on the ball and is constantly releasing updates, however, I realized I lost WAAAY too much money this year due to lost labor time. Gotta get that nailed do...

Re: Time clock features request
Considering leaving Mitchell, yes. As this year comes to an end, I've sat down and calculated how much we could have POTENTIALLY sold in labor hours VS how much we actually sold in labor hours. There is quite a bit of difference between the two. Given that information, time tracking will be my numbe...

Re: Part Returns?
We do not use the PO feature in Accounting Link. At the end of the day, all receipts are marked either COGS, shop supplies, small tools, marketing, etc (purchases and credits). They then get entered into Quickbooks manually.

Time clock features request
I'm wondering if bolt on has any intention of upgrading their time clock. There are a few features I am really needing, to the point that I'm considering jumping ship to another shop management software. Specifically, the features I'd like to see is: - Time clock for service advisors and managers to...

Is there anything we need to do to get his upgrade?
*Nvm, I should have known just to restart the applications and I'd get the update.

First Call PO numbers
Noticed today when we submit POs through Mitchell, RO numbers are not matching up on the invoices from Mitchell. Anyone else experiencing this?

Latest update
Noticed with the latest update, as the techs finish their inspections, the 'progress bar' shows 100% grey/empty. Anybody else getting this?

Total Number Of Customers On File?
Is there a way I can get a total number of unique customers who came in, say over the past 12 months? Not double counting someone who brought in multiple cars? Can I also see how often they visit per year? Also, is there a way to see the average number of cars on file for my customers?

Re: Technician Productivity Report
Just did it again for yesterday and same result.
It works fine if printing just that single report from the reports menu. Only seems to happen when using EOD

Re: Fax
You could do like we did when we moved into our new shop and refuse to do anymore faxes  I know it doesn't help, but I got tired of using such old technology. Honestly though, we've had no issues with extended warranty companies so far. We just scan and email. You can even scan with your smart ...

7.2.8 I have it print with about 5-7 other reports. Gives me the header, just no data. I selected date ranger 11/1 - 11/1. I was out sick last 2 days and was catching up.

Re: 2008 Dodge RAM: Bleeding Brakes - What Am I Missing?
We first 'pinched' off the front brake lines with hose clamp pliers and didn't get much of a change, so we threw a master cylinder at it (rebuilt aftermarket). Same issue, so we put a new aftermarket one on. Same issue. So we put a new factory one on. Same issue. So we blocked off the ports at the m...

Re: 2008 Dodge RAM: Bleeding Brakes - What Am I Missing?
Had an ES350 a few weeks ago that had a very similar issue. Once we blocked off the front calipers, the pedal felt great. We looked every which way at the front calipers and saw NOTHING wrong with them. Pistons moved, slide pins were great, pads were perfect, hoses to the calipers were in perfect co...

Lost Some Customers From Database?
We've noticed two customer files missing from the database since last week. Luckily they are not hugely important, but still concerning. One was our orphans customer, the other was our 'carryover' customer. Any clue why they would have disappeared? Carry over is not such a big deal, but we had a lot...

Welcome station customer screen
Curious about how much you can customize the data required on the customer information screen? Curious if you can ask first time customers how they heard about your shop and also require month and day for birthday.
