Re: 2001 Infiniti I30 - O2 Sensors Flatlining
I dont recall the trim numbers, but they didn't really cause me much alarm, but I couldn't get the problem to happen while I was watching. The owner won't let me keep the car long enough to do a real good diagnosis. She only lets me have it while she's at work. I think yall are right on the MAF. I'm...

2001 Infiniti I30 - O2 Sensors Flatlining
The customer complaint is the car stumbles and stalls when cold. Of course it runs perfect here. No codes. The only thing I see as a problem is all four oxygen sensors flatline lean at idle. Rev the engine a little and it goes back to crossing like its supposed to. I thought for sure it was a vacuum...

I didn't specify, but they always grind the stem to match what they take off the seats.

Re: Ford 6.0L Diesel - Resurfacing Heads
Minimum thickness is 3.74 Don remember where I seen that. I don't see what that matters if you cut the seats to match what you take off the head. The guy at the head place said he takes up to .005 off. Wouldn't say how he makes it work.

Re: Ford 6.0L Diesel - Resurfacing Heads
Yeah, its crazy how this stuff comes in. I've been doing almost nothing but 6.0 diesels for the past three weeks. Oil coolers, egr coolers, and this nightmare. I just finished trying it again and guess what.... still hitting. I talked to my machine guy, and we agreed to just order a set of heads fro...

Re: Ford 6.0L Diesel - Resurfacing Heads
Oh it's definitely the valves. No glow plugs are in. No injectors either. Pushrods are all the same length. Kept them in order anyway. I've already taken the heas back off. Had the machine shop get specs on valve recession and added a couple thousandths. Gonna torque 'em back down in the morning and...

Ford 6.0L Diesel - Resurfacing Heads FIXED
Had these heads done at my local engine shop. He's done many heads for me. Never had a problem. He cut very little off these heads. You could still see stains where the combustion chambers were. I torqued 'em down and now I have valve/piston contact. Luckily I rolled the engine over before putting i...

Re: 2002 K1500 Pk Tk Brake Problem
My first guess would be the caliper slides are frozen. Most likely on the back. The reason the pedal gets soft when the engine is running is because the extra assistance probably bends the rotors over against the other pad instead of sliding the caliper.

Re: 2003 Buick Rendezvous - "AWD Disable"
Found a rusty terminal in the plug on the solenoid, but I also had no continuity between any of the terminals on the solenoid. I ordered a new solenoid and plug and it won't be here till friday. We'll see.

Re: 2002 GMC 2500HD - Duramax Hard Starting, Low Fuel Pressure
Can you command fuel pressure with your scan tool? Try to ramp it all the way up. I think mine goes to 140 mpa. Watch actual and desired and balance rates. If the actual can't keep up and the balance rates stay reasonable, you have a bad cp3. Also, make sure it has a AC Delco fuel filter on it. I ha...

Re: 03 Buick Rendezvous "AWD Disable"
I think I found something after I posted yesterday.Havent had time to go into it yet, but there are a few lines of data that is really the only way to see why its disabled. There aren't really any DTC's for the AWD. My problem seems to be indicated by the line "AWD CKT status ----- OPEN". Supposedly...

2003 Buick Rendezvous - "AWD Disable"FIXED
This car belongs to a car lot. I replaced a stepper motor in the cluster last week and noticed that the message center was unplugged and the MIL was blacked out with silicone  when I had the cluster apart. After I plugged in the message center it reads "AWD disable". They want it fixed but I c...

I should be able to program any modules with my pass thru pro II right? It just so convenient to have everything together in my MODIS.

Re: 2003 Chev 2500 HD Duramax - Injectors Job
55k on an 03? Man, he don't drive much. I got 222K on mine. Replaced my injectors at about 150k. Water pump about 180k. Thats pretty much all I have had to do to it. The CP3 is gettin a little weak now, but I think I can make it last a couple more months. I pull a 39 ft flat bed or a 48 ft enclosed ...

Re: 1994 Cadillac Deville - Alternator Problems FIXED
I think the outside of the balancer had slipped on the rubber, causing the notch marking tdc number one to be incorrect. I used a stopper screwed into the spark plug hole for what I thought was number one cylinder. Roll the engine one way until it made contact. Make a mark on the balancer. Roll it t...

Re: 2003 Chev 2500 HD Duramax - Injectors Job
Always watch to make sure the injector cup doesn't lift at all. Don't panic if it does, just drain whats left of the coolant, suck it out of the cylinder, clean the seating areas real good and use red hi temp loctite (272 I think). Torque it back down. Them valve covers were stuck on tight weren't t...

Re: 1994 Cadillac Deville - Alternator Problems
I fixed it. Not real sure what I did, but it's running good so.... I replaced the distributor with one from the low miles junkyard car. Still ran like crap but it was different. Seemed like the timing was way off. After much head scratching, I decided that the balancer had slipped. I could tell that...
