Re: Removal of SureTrack & ProDemand Integration

While the loss of integration is a disappointment, we like the products too good to look at our options. The way ric suggests doing it, it is a matter of a minute or few seconds of time to take the scenic route. Certainly better than what we had here at our shop. Having said what I did, I would most...

Yea, I tried to use it this afternoon again and after I was into it, I realized that the issues aren't fixed. Oh well.

Re: Repairlink Not Working Properly

FYI - Steve is brand new here just last week and getting up to speed for us. Back on February 26,2018 the same message was first posted and I assumed it may have been the same person but apparantly not. I think most of us understand that to correct something does take effort and some time. But bein...

Re: Repairlink Not Working Properly

HI Everyone, I understand the frustration and appreciate the feedback. Previously the Ford catalog in RepairLink covered all vehicles from 1990 to today - now all vehicles from 2007 to present are covered and some vehicles from 2000 to 2007 are also covered.  For several marketing and technical rea...

Re: Repairlink Not Working Properly

The issue Im having is that with Ford, the availability is gone. I looked up parts for a 1994 Buick Century this morning and no problem. It is really frustrating. For what ever issue Ford is having, they need to get it resolved. Push the right button so we can have availability back.

Still waiting for the updates for the FORD vehicles. Need parts for a 2003 Taurus and I cannot look them up. Extremely irritating.

Re: 2013 Honda Pilot P1659

Ok guys! I found the problem and fixed it. I got my Fault Finder Tool out and connected it to the circuit that I felt was the problem. I picked up an open wire at connection C102 just below the PCM. I took that connection apart and found the male end of the connector was bent over. We straightened i...

Re: 2013 Honda Pilot P1659

Actually the relay is not coming on. The control circuit (pin A29) from the PCM is not activating the ETCS relay thus the code P1659. Yes, Steve is exactly correct with his observations of the things he mentioned. We did however disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery as per service i...

2013 Honda Pilot P1659 - FIXED

I got this 2013 Honda Pilot Touring with a 3.5L engine. The issue is that we replaced the timing belt and water pump. Now, we want to test drive it and when the accelerator is depressed, the engine will not accelerate. There is a code P1659 that as soon as I erase it, the code returns immediately. T...

Re: 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitari

Well, the OBD2 drive cycle is different for each vehicle. MOD gives the info for the later ones but not for a 1999 model. And, yes, it looks like the info you provided will/should work. Thank You!!!

1999 Suzuki Grand Vitari -ODB2 Cycle?

Does anybody know the OBD2 drive cycle for this 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitari? MOD does not give it.
After repairs I need to drive it to get it to pass emissions inspection.

Re: 2008 Chevy Express 3500

I have run into it already. What I found on the one I had was a bad wiring harness. At the time I had mine in the garage, there was a wiring harness available from the dealer which I got. I replaced the sensor and the harness and that took care of the problem.

Codes That Turn On CEL

Where can I find information on the diagnostic trouble codes that turn on the CEL or do not turn on the CEL? In doing emissions inspections and work that would be useful information at times.

also believe there is a gap in training. I believe the salemen are paid to sell the product, not train people on it. Just as I explained the IT is for trouble and not really for schooling. If I may reply to this comment. Here in our shop, we too are 'newbies', so to speak, having just gotten set up...

2009 Dodge Grand Caravan Electrical Draw

The vehicle is a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan with a 3.8L engine, front wheel drive only, auto trans and 98,000 miles on it. The problem is an electrical draw that will discharge the battery in less than a week if it is not run. My questions, and I raise it because I have not found the answer anywhere y...

Re: 1998 Ford F150 Rear Brakes

Was that one of the years Ford had more than one size of brake shoe? As I recall, I had run into that. Seems to me the measurement difference was like less than 1/2 inch difference in size. Both could physically fit though before putting the drum on.

Re: Nissan Frontier

I'll say this that I have needed information that was not in On Demand. I called Mitchell and got what I needed. Took perhaps 10-15 minutes of my time but I felt it was better than the frustration of trying to relate to an uncooperative dealer.
