Re: Assigning Multiple Technicians in Scheduler
Has anyone figured out how to easily schedule multiple technicians through the scheduler? We have one tech that does all of our MPIs and we typically schedule him for the first part of any appointment and then overlap him with an assigned technician that will be doing the rest of the work. Currentl...

Re: SE 7.0 Scheduler Workflow
TIP: If you go into the scheduler options, you can set how many days you want the scheduler to go back. We have ours set for 5 days.

Re: Appointment Moves Into Tomorrow?
After you add work, it may stretch across multiple days depending on how much work you add.ARS wrote:is this something we can do different to correct or is this a fix with an update?
For now, the work around is to open the appointment and change the date/time to make it stay on a single day.

Re: Adding Labor Lines To Appear In Appt.?
I don't get a chance to follow the forums as much as I'd like, but this is an issue with us as well. We typically use a single labor item for multiple issues and sum all of the labor together. With that being the case, when we convert our scheduled appointments into an order, we have to copy the de...

Re: Schedule Adds New Customers To Database?
With 10-15 shops in a 5 mile radius cant afford to tell customers no info. no appt. In a perfect world that could work. I understand 100% what you are saying. However, the customers that I make a lazy appointment with are normally the ones that do not show up. They do not feel committed. I am assum...

Re: Schedule Adds New Customers To Database?
We do not bother making appointments or estimates unless we have full name, phone number, car information, customers concern. I'd prefer to get this info when the appointment is made to make the check in process quicker. Otherwise you have to do it while the customer and possibly other customers wai...

Re: Handling Work Overflow?
We have the same issue.
Ultimately, a job sold for 14 hours is likely to take around 8 actual. I just open the appointment and adjust the scheduled hours to keep it on the same day. The order hours will still show the actual hours sold. The scheduled hours are pretty much ignored at our shop.

Re: Scheduler Feedback & Requests
I know I said it in another post, but I'll repeat it here to see if anyone else agrees. I think a lot of us shop owners thought we wanted a new/better scheduler when we had the old one. We thought something more visual, with categories and resources and colors, etc. would be better. Now we realize ...

Re: Scheduler Feedback & Requests
Here's what we are doing for loaners cars..... 1. We created a 'Customer' for each loaner car. 2, We make an all day appointment for each loaner. 3. We put the customer who is receiving the car in the Notes field. 4. We have a Resource for each loaner which is applied to the appointment. Now it is ...

Re: Scheduler Feedback 2016
Add a state that you've set up with a color. In fact, you can make a state called NOTE and give it a unique color. I'm not a fan of the way colors are applied, BTW. I believe the whole box, or at least the entire outline should be colored. The little strip down the side is very hard to distinguish....

Re: Scheduler Feedback & Requests
Mine do not disappear. Remember that a shop event day defaults to the current day, so if you are on some day in the future and you click on Shop Event, you won't get that day you are on, but rather today's date. Oh I see what I did. I made it from 715 to 715, but our business hours start at 730. So...

Re: Scheduler Feedback & Requests
Use Shop Event, but set the start and end times to the same time. That way it will not add any hours. Have you tried doing that? I just did it, the shop event vanished from the day completely. It still shows up in shop events, but it is gone from scheduling. We make it an all day event so it stands...

Re: Scheduler Feedback & Requests
Can we make it so that shop events do not count for the total scheduled hours? I can think of occasions where I WANT shop events to count against available hours. A shop meeting comes to mind. Maybe it can be optional. Otherwise, you can create a customer named "Shop meeting" and schedule it whenev...

In the resources view, can we make each of those fields (resources) adjustable in width?

Re: Tips To Make This Scheduler Work
If the resources fields were adjustable for width this would likely work great for us. I tried setting it up for waiting, loaner 1, loaner 2 and unassigned. But with most of the appointments in the unassigned area it gets so cramped in that one 1/4 of the schedule it isn't really useful for me. If ...

Maybe I'm missing something, but there are a few anomalies that I want to address with the new scheduler compared to the old scheduler. 1. Re: Tips To Make This Scheduler Work
1) Use the resources. We made three columns. Drop Off, Waiting, and Unassigned. When you make an appointment using this resource vehicle it will make the waiting appointments its own column. You can make your own resource headings by clicking on "configurations", "Scheduler Set Up", "Add/Edit Sched...
