Re: Import Time
I'm not sure I completely understand the question. If the technician is logging into the Time Manager job clock and ultimately marking items complete, the line on the RO is updated to match. *Edited for clarity* The Actual Hours value is what is updated.

Re: Finding a posted invoice
Well, by definition a posted invoice is in history. Therefore, I'd assume you're not finding it in History where you expect it. The first thing you should do is go have a look at the Deleted Orders report under Accounting. Might save you a good deal of time hunting for something that no longer exist...

This isn't likely to happen anytime soon. It's far too much to explain here, but let's just say Tesla asked us not to.

Re: Inspection Date
You might want to check with support on that one then. Should definitely disappear. Last thing to do on your end is try closing any open stations, clearing it on the last one open, then restart. That should ensure the save is made.

Re: Inspection Date
Hmm. I'm not seeing it prompt with that option disabled. It sounds as though you don't care to have it regardless of order phase, so perhaps disable in both the RO and Invoice validations?

Re: Reset item to not started.
The quickest way to do this currently is on the Manager side. Open the order, then copy the line item that was erroneously logged. Paste it right back into the order and delete the original.

Re: Scheduler Resource field on WIP screen
Hi Daniel, You're not missing anything. Schedule Resource isn't a column available to the WIP today. Interestingly enough, that is the least used area of the Schedule in general. Glad to see it being utilized. :) I'd still like to open up the WIP column chooser to more of the customer, vehicle and a...

Re: Activant Catalog Blank at Top
I am not seeing that with Activant here. Our support group is a little short staffed this week, but they may be able to provide more information.
For what it's worth - if you are just using that catalog for Advance, there will be a new direct option very soon.

Re: Deposit Required to Order Parts
Hi Miranda,
This sounds like a perfect case for Special Orders. Ric may happen along to give the full explanation, but in the interim you might want to search the forum for special orders. He's explained them before for others. They're very much like a RO, but easily hidden from the WIP.

Yes, this is a quick fix, but a bit much to describe in the forum. Please contact Technical Support @ 888-724-6742 when you have a moment.

Re: Parts Tech Local Store Inventory
Hi All, Just though I'd chime in on this. It's typically a practice of the particular supplier. Some of them will treat anything in the network or DC as "in-store." While I have had discussions with certain vendors that I don't believe it's good business practice, we cannot ultimately dictate how th...

Re: 8.5.2 Beta Volunteers
Thanks for the feedback, Daniel.
I understand Support reached out to you for some diagnostic information. We're working to identify the cause of the "red x" on the WIP. It's rarer than the reset we just chased though, so please feel free to share any pattern/observances if you see it again.

8.5.2 Beta Volunteers
Hi All,
We're putting what we hope are the finishing touches on a release candidate in the next couple of days. Besides ShopManTim (thanks!), do we have any volunteers to beta test this release to ensure the WIP reset issue is resolved?
Here are the rest of the pending changes:

Re: Inventory Part number changes
I think you may have updating vs. deleting crossed. Updating has been this way since I can remember. Deleting a part - that currently requires hunting; but I'd argue there isn't typically an immediate need to delete a record.

Re: Inventory Part number changes
We are going through our parts in inventory. Since we are new users, we are attempting to change some of the existing part numbers in our stock along with renaming some of our parts to make finding them easier when you do a search in the inventory. What we are finding is that when we change a numbe...

Re: NEXT RELEASE BEYOND 8.5.1.419
Hi Dan, We're working to build a beta candidate in the coming couple of weeks. I can confirm we spent a great deal of effort chasing the WIP reset issue, so we want to confirm that is indeed fixed. The Vehicle history will be squared away as well. I don't think those other two made the cut. We'll be...

It's definitely not an area to take on haphazardly. I'd suggest taking a few minutes to view this video to know what to expect in the PMM. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHcW28BcSLI
