Warranty Repair?

Post by slowtech »

does Manager have a warranty processing option. For an example, if a part is defective and a tech gets paid additional time to swap it out. A separate warranty invoice for tracking.

What we do here is to have a separate labor line for warranty labor and that way it can be tracked. We also use it for a comeback job as well.

There is tracking for all comebacks. Select the Comeback box when entering the Symptom on the Order. There are relevant reports.

There is no separate invoice. Simply process the order as you would normal tech pay. You can zero out the part in any way you like.

We do process the invoice as normal with prices zeroed. The problem is mostly with parts that were defective and didn't make it to the door and needed to be re-replaced. These have been sensors, actuators etc. I had hoped for an internal "crap part" tracking method. With the shortage of supply. It comes up more often.
