Take Shop Supplies Off Revisions?

I am not sure if this has been asked already... but could not find a thread...

Shop supplies- we need a way to take these off of an estimate/revision. We deal with a lot of extended warranty & insurance companies that do not want to pay the shop supplies fee. We have to send these estimates to those companies & we get docked for having the shop supplies on. We do not put anything into invoices until the last step. So the ability to get rid of shop supplies in estimate/revision would be great.

Running 6.4... have not installed 6.5 yet.

Thanks, ARS

Order Options - uncheck the Shop Supplies box.

You can not do this in the revision & sub estimates... you can not take them off there...

I completely missed the Revision mention; the tax/fees are estimated and Revision shares Estimate settings. As such, it can be done there IF you UN-check the Include Tax/Fees in Estimates.

But this is not for individual revisions... doesn't that shut them off totally... so when my boss is working on a revision that does not need shop supplies & then i am working on a totally different vehicle that can use them... won't that mess everything up. Plus the warranty companies may pay taxes. We only need to turn off shop supplies for certain revisions & orders not every one.

This is where we are until the database is re-architecture for By-The-Job; the Order screen and Revision screens are considered in their totality in terms of taxes and fees. I would leave the tax setting where it is.

In the meantime, I believe the most popular work-around is to copy everything to the Order screen then quote or print it. Then move the appropriate items to Revisions.
