Need the ability to remove SHOP SUPPLIES from a Quote or Revision without turning it into an invoice.

Cannot be done.

Can be with a code change. Nothing is impossible.There are many instances when a person doesn't need shop supplies added to a revision

Example special order for aftermarket parts a customer wants. There is no need to charge shop supplies for a quote.

We also would like this feature to be brought forward on the changes needed- We need to have the ability to take off shop supplies & hazmat on revisions esp. for extended warranties, insurance & fleet companies do not want to pay those fees. We would like to have accurate numbers for these companies. We do not put anything into the order until it is sold to avoid confusion.

This would be likely be considered part of the By The Job makeover.
Whether the job is sitting on the Order or Revision screen, the rules (options) would be the same. Container settings for SS/HazMat, tax, discounts, techs, etc. would be in play no matter where it is sitting at present.

Right... so we want them (Order & Revision/Estimate) to act the same.... so we want to be able to have the option to remove those fees if needed.
My boss only works in the estimate area... I know it is a lot more work but we actually rewrite the order with canned jobs & type up things how we want them to look... We usually do not sell the revision.
So it is more work to figure out the estimates for the extended warranties.. etc when they give us the numbers & the do not include shop or haz mat fees.

It would just be nice if they acted them same. Thanks...ARS

Any word on this??? We are doing a lot of estimates/revisions for extended warranty companies lately---- It would be a huge help if the estimate & revisions looked the same as the order & invoices....

There is not at this time. My earlier post was intended to portray the heavy lifting involved with the By-The-Job.

We are fully committed to the implementation of the Schedule module into the program by the end of this year.
