Print Notes in Revisions Prior to Estimate?

Post by nickscarcare »

So I go into revisions, without starting an order, or an estimate, so I can give a customer an estimate without having it in the WIP screen. Type up an estimate, put a note in there, and it will not print that note. It will if I change it to an estimate, then print from there. I don't like doing it this way, because now we have to copy the estimate to a revision until we get the job to get the WIP screen less cluttered. We do this because we do lots of work for different agencies that help people with their vehicle repairs, County, etc., so I don't want them in WIP until we get the job. Is there a way this can be changed so it will print notes from that screen?????
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Yes. You need to put at least one item on the Order tab thus creating an assigned number, then everything else will work fine. Simply delete the estimate after you're through.

You only have to do this if there is no open order/estimate for the customer. That is how the database works.

I know this is the way it is set up, wondering if there is a way around it?

I don't think so. Probably something to do with the way the database is organized. Sorry.
