is there any way for the POS to keep track of storage charges? for instance time stamped date of drop off, last contact with customer. duration of stay (idle time/ awaiting pick up). And if so would that be a new labor category? Sublet?

As far as tracking I created one called "Storage of Vehicle". I also created a canned job called the same. I manually type out in a labor window the beginning date of storage and the rate per day. I clean a running tab (manually) until it is picked up. There is no functionality biult into Mitchell for this so you have to work around it.
