Eliminate Shop Supply Charges On Estimates?

1. Can an "Opt out" be added to eliminate shop supply charges onto estimates? If I am giving someone multiple estimates it shows up an each one. I would rather just add it to the invoice when the repair is performed.
2. Can I adjust the shop supply charge on an individual invoice without having to change it in the entire system? On some invoices I need it to be a smaller amount.
3. Can I also "Opt out" of recommendations being printed on estimates?

Thank you in advance

To opt out of Shop supply

Setup, shop data, shop/hazmat set default to Off. We don't charge Shop supply. We do it this way. If it is big job we manually enter it on the estimate.

Rich,
Thank you for your input. If I reset the default doesn't that mean it won't charge to the invoices? I only want it not to show on estimates

To my knowledge its an all or nothing thing. Some one who uses it may chime in and say different, or have a work around.

That is an all-or-nothing decision, it doesn't discern document types (EST / RO / INV).

What you're actually asking about is REVISIONS; each Sub-Estimate totals taxes and fees as if it was a separate estimate. Then when the Revisions are transferred to the Order screen as live work, the totals change because they are no longer seen as separate documents with their own totals. We have an enhancement request recorded to allow turning off SS / HazMat at the customer level.

I'll leave you with a true story from a training class in Denver this past January:

Shop 1: "Is there any way you can fix multiple Revisions to share the tax and fees so the price will be the same on transfer to the Order screen?"
Shop 2: "Are you kidding me? I like it that way because then their bill is LESS and I look like a hero. Don't change that!"

And so it goes.
