Ford LV Trans Fluid?

Anyone ran accross the need for ford lv trans fluid? Its a new one to me.

Is it for replacement of sp? Mitchell says lv dipstick says sp

Im going to use valvoline syhthetic it works for both but this is the first LV need ive ran into

I've got both here. Don't remember if it was a replacement or not. Fluids are out of control these days.

fluids have been wild for a while. just a quick look on my shelf, 4 types of brake fluid, 14 types of transmission and gear oil, 5 power steering, 12 motor oil, 6 antifreeze and i still on occasion will get blind sided. there's always been issues with the quality of fluids. i spent way to much time and effort on it. personally i've just decided to stick with oem on any "specialty" fluid. if overhaul a differential on a g.m i use the synthetic fluid from g.m.. the same with ford. toyota's that i change the coolant in i use toyota long life. oil changes i'll use carquest oil. it exceeds all specs with the exception of a few European cars then i'll use pentosin or o.e.m.. the availability of these fluids is fairly quick and i adjust the price to maintain my profit so it's not a big issue for me. when i first started in this business there was one brake fluid, power steering and transmission fluid were the same and there were two. one antifreeze, three levels of motor oil. 20w, 30w, 10w. all were in tin cans. if i remember correctly the antifreeze was blue. i never saw green coolant until prestone hit the market. we would tip the used oil cans on end and use the run off for our oil cans we used to lubricate hinges and linkage. times have changed.....................
