2010 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali - Park Assist

Post by gale »

I'm Gonna start off by saying sorry cause I always have the weirdest problems;

2010 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali

Had a code of BO959 - Mid left Sensor Failure - inspected found was badly corroded/connector burnt -- replaced the back-up sensor and connector,
all should have been okay but the system has come up and said that the Park Assist is blocked, Have reinspected the wiring connection, disconnecting the
sensor, updating the system, inspected the rest of the wiring, called AC Delco they have never heard of this problem, how does one enable the park assist???

Not sure if this is much help but I did find...
The PARK ASSIST OFF message is displayed in the DIC when the parking assist system is disabled manually using the parking assist disable switch.
PARK ASST BLOCKED SEE OWNERS MANUAL :?:

Thank you for the reply, customer called me this morning and said that everything is working normally. I did read in Mitchell that
it may take a few fault free cylces after the code has been fixed and cleared to reset everything --- seems to be the case but it
is still very odd
