We have a 2007 Silverado 1500 WT, the key fob does not work, tried a new battery and still nothing. No codes. Tried going into it with the Tech2 to program the fob again and when I get to the programming part it tells me "Device control not allowed"
Any ideas?

Do you have the other one? It could be a few different issues such as being disabled. Was an aftermarket remote start installed?

If you have one of the better TPMS tools they will test remotes.

That's what I was thinking. First I want to know if the thing is broadcasting. Then I'll try a relearn.
Did you invalidate all existing programmed remotes before programming this one?
